Obama will attend Asian economic summit in November
WASHINGTON (CNN) - President Barack Obama will attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Singapore in November, his spokesman said Thursday.
Obama will go to the meeting of the group, commonly called APEC, on November 14 and 15, and expects to visit other countries in the region on the same trip, said White House spokesman Robert Gibbs.
No details were available on what other countries Obama would visit, Gibbs said.

Yes – to fund the "Stimulus" bill, Cash-for-Clunkers, GM take-over, and trying to keep Medicare/Medicaid/Social Security solvent.... Obama has to borrow MORE money from China.
But hey – let's not dwell on horrific economic news... let's talk about Obama-care extending government-paid insurance to 40 million illegal aliens.
What!??!! I think we have too many problems in our country right now for him to be leaving! And the expense of the plane and his entourage and the fuel and the impact on global warming!!! What a hypocrit! How dare he act like a President of these United States!
His presidency is the example of what Asian countries should not do. I'm sure the insights they will gain by watching him bumble and fumble will help them run their own economies.
How about staying home and doing your job, still losing jobs and houses out here in reality, no change from BUSH.

Maybe he can learn something as other countries are exiting the recession and have spent far less than Mr. Obama. Also, we need to be honest that without China buying our debt, Mr. Obama would be up a creek without a paddle, so he has to make nice nice.
Maybe he'll bring back some of the jobs that the Shrubster sent to China.

Ahhhhh yes, yet another trip overseas to spread our new and improved Nation's version of goodwill and apologies. Meanwhile, our Nation continues to slip down the slippery slope of social and economic decay at the hands of bureaucratic bungling! Anyone see the 47% buy up of our National debt in the form of 7yr bonds by the FED last week? Hang on America, and get ready for the ride!
Maybe they can explain why President Obama let the new Special Advisor for Health Policy into the White House.
Maybe they can explain why President Obama's new Special Advisor said, "services provided to individuals who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens are not basic and should not be guaranteed. An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia."
Also, maybe they can explain what's up with the "Independent Medicare Advisory Council" (IMAC)? The White House proposes that, under the IMAC umbrella, President Obama will hand-pick five bureaucrats to decide what will and will not be covered by our Medicare of the future.
Maybe they know if President Obama will appoint this Special Advisor guy to be the first Chairman of the IMAC.

Good maybe this amateur leader can learn how to run an economy... Step one: dont buy GM. Step two: dont pass a 700 billion stimulus bill of all pork. Step three: Dont have govt control over 1/7th of our economy by socializing health care
That's great! I only wish he would take all the Congress and his staff (especially Rahm Emanuel) and ALL stay in Singapore......they need his help to organize their communities!
Hopefully the will keep him and he can take Kim Jung Il's place there rather than start his own cult of personality in America.

What does BHO hope to achieve-we can not fathom. But let's let him focus more on domestic issues, and send envoys abroad, if possible. We are sure he would have thought of that.
