Cafferty: Obama’s transparency promise on bailout, stimulus $

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption=" When it comes to stimulus and bailout money, has Pres. Obama kept his promise of transparency?"] (CNN) - Pres. Obama has been promising the American people transparency ever since he was on the campaign trail.

And, when it comes to the $700 billion dollar bank and auto bailouts, known as TARP, and the $787 billion economic stimulus package, the president vowed an unprecedented level of openness.

A lot of information has been made public through websites like and The administration calls these sites “pioneering” compared to how government worked in the past.

But we’re talking about almost $1.5 trillion dollars here – and there is key information that the public doesn’t know about how and where this money is being spent.

Not open enough, certainly not as much as he promised and I happily voted for him.

We need MORE change than he has brought so far

Obama was not my first choice as president though I voted for him in the general election. I preferred four of his opponents to him. I don't know now if my preferred candidates would have done as good a job. I think Obama is the most effective president we've had since LBJ. I think his intellect is superior to or equal to every president back to Teddy Roosevelt, though brains does not always a good president make.

He is aggressively pursuing solutions to monstrous problems that have been neglected by every Administration since Carter: oil dependency, pollution, global warming, international terrorism, reform of the health care system, and others.

The difference between the openness of his administration and that of Bush is like the difference between night and day. Bush/Cheney was secretive about everything. We'll be finding out what those two rascals were up to for three generations.

I am very pleased with his administration so far. All Americans should support him.

"Palin warns of 'disturbing' health care rationing"

We already have 'health care rationing' under the Palin plan, to wit, many people can't afford health insurance under the Palin plan (i.e., the Palin plan is to do NOTHING about the current health insurance situation including spiralling costs, skyrocketing profits and lack of coverage and undercoverage).

Furthermore, since people without health insurance under the Palin plan suffer are more likely to get sick and die, the Palin plan is also a form of EUTHANASIA...except Palin's form of EUTHANASIA is slow and painful and is even applied to nerborn children...who don't have health insurance.

Has Obama told anyone that inflation will make the govt. more money than raising taxes.. So printing money like north korea will inflate the dollar which will increase the cost of a barrel of oil etc. Has he told anyone his bailout is not working and that more buildings are becoming empty and tax revenues are continuing to fall. Has he told anyone truely what cap & trade will do to your 100$(will go to 200$), power bill while it eliminates more manufacturing...Well, you gotta b kidding me ....CLEAR AS MUDDY WATER..!!!!!!
