Tom DeLay trades political stage for the real thing

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption="Tom DeLay trades the national stage for the real thing later this month."]
(CNN) -
Political observers know former House Majority Leader Tom "The Hammer" DeLay can have a heavy hand - the question is, can he be light on his feet?

They'll find out later this month. The Texas Republican, who left Congress in 2006 amid controversy, will appear on this season of ABC's Dancing With the Stars, joining celebrities like Mya, Macy Gray, Aaron Carter, Ashley Hamilton, Melissa Joan Hart, Kelly Osbourne, Donny Osmond, Chuck Liddell and Michael Irvin, among others.

DeLay, who has largely kept a low profile since leaving the House, is president of a political consulting firm with offices in both Houston and the nation's capital. His turn on DWTS begins next week.

I hope he has an affair with his dance partner. I wouldn't be entertained and feel he was being 'real' unless he had an affair during the show at some point.

Then we can talk about how noble and good he is. Because only really good people (republicans) do the wrong thing and get called 'good man'.

This is interesting in what it says about how the media and political figures really see the American people. Ever wonder why there aren't any more serial TV shows with an actual plot or theme? Mainstream America is too depleted in their thinking to understand now, instead we have reality TV about getting a tatoo or going to rehab!? The government running our schools has failed so miserably that the product of their effort cannot even write a complete sentence or maintain the concept of a theme or a plot beyond a 3 minute time span. We now have a country of socially retarded idiots that must be directed on what to think and how to do, ask any liberal at ACORN or SERIBUS.

I love reading these comments from these hateful, dishonest, selfish, blind Obama-bot libs about Delay. We have not seen the kind of hate that the average Democrat in America has today since Germany in the 1930's. Funny thing, those people were rilled up and used by a national socialist, "community organizer", as well.

Here is a thought, imagine if you had the gun carry laws of the red states in ultra blue hateful narcisist liberal dominated areas? How many thousands of people would be killed each day.

As I understand it, his indictment in Texas was flawed because he was money laundering checks to the Republicans instead of cash. That was the technical reason that he stayed out of prison. The law was only written to cover cash. How convenient!

Interesting CNN spin on delay...why does this not say 'DeLay left the House IN DISGRACE'?
Why do disgraced politicians immediately get forgiven when they or their wives (ala Blago) go on a reality show?
    DeLay should be IN JAIL.
