On Obama's agenda next week: Golf

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption="Obama is expected to play golf a 'number of times' while on vacation, said the White House. "]

(CNN) - White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs is giving few specifics on how President Obama will spend his week-long vacation on Martha's Vineyard.

But one thing seems certain: Obama will likely sneak in several rounds of golf, just as former President Bill Clinton did when he vacationed on the island in the 1990's.

"There are no official events scheduled in the weeks ahead," Gibbs said Friday. "I anticipate he'll play golf a number of times."

According to the Boston Herald, rumored to be among his partners on the course is Tiger Woods, who is coming off a disappointing loss in the PGA championship last weekend. Woods is already set to be in the Boston area for the Deutsche Bank Championship.

But Gibbs said Friday he has no idea if the golfing legend will actually tee it up with Obama, who is estimated to be between a 16 and 24 handicap and has golfed several weekends in the Washington area over the summer.

"I think he is going to spend a decent part of his time relaxing with his family," said Gibbs. "I do not have anything that says he will play with Tiger Woods in the next few days."

But in between the rounds of golf and relaxing with his family, the president will continue to discuss the health care issue with lawmakers, GIbbs said.

"He'll continue to touch base with members of Congress in the House and the Senate on the Finance Committee to check in with them about progress that's being made," he said.

OUR President has been working harder in the last 8 weeks than the "other one" did in 8 years. He deserves a break. He needs a break!

Why not, as the GOP sit on their duffs and try to undermine the work he's putting in trying to get OUR COUNTRY back on track. The lies, greed and collusion amongst them is appauling. Their attitudes of politics first, Country second is disgusting.

Just how can so many Americans expect to have thier "entitlement changes" so soon? A little pain… a lot to gain. This may hurt a little, but you'll feel better in the morning!

Hey CNN... this is the third time I posted this... you keep cutting it. What's the matter? Too Pro-Obama??

Watch.: Two days after Obama leaves town, look for the RNC to 'invent' a crisis...foreign, economic, extraterrestrial, it does not matter....just as we hear now Bush raising the terror level before an election for political gain, look for some RNC shenanigans and headline grabbing while 'the cat' is away.........

Man, the RAWPs are out in force today. Funny thing is even the Russians are calling Obama a Marxist and in the Pravda's editorial they wonder that we didn't learn anything from their last 70 years or so of experience.

A bad day at golf beats a good day at work... or trying to overcome the entire medical insurance industry.

Take a few days. They will still be here when you get back.

If anyone by the name of Cheney offers to take you on a hunting trip, don't accept.

Will we watch our First family's every step of their vacation?
Do we need to do so?
Can we hear from the Secretaries of other Cabinet positions?

Everyone needs a vacation. So if your planning (or have already taken) a vacation this year, quit complaining about Obama's family vacation. Yeah! we all have things that need doing, but we all need to take a break sometime.

Mr. President, I would love to play a round of golf with you. So go out their and shoot that round of 85 and enjoy "putting" on the 19th. You deserve it.

Then come back refreshed and ready to straighten out some Blue Dogs and those who want to continue supporting the insurance and health care lobby. We do want change...and we remember who wanted to keep the status quo.

9.4% UNEMPLOYMENT. 2 Trillion more in debt over the next 10 years than Obama told us just months ago. $$Trillions folks, not billions, $$Trillions. Confiscate all the wealth of all the rich people in the country and the Democrats will still have to tax the rest of us until our eyes bleed to pay for all this debt. And Obama wants to add trillions and trillions more by forcing Obamacare down our throats! The economy of our nation is being destroyed and we will all end up indentured slaves to a Government that has to tax all we make to cover this immense spending!!!! Total insanity!!!!

Again, a vacationing president. How about using that week and draft some gay civil rights legislation. Oh no, you go golf.

At least Barry and Tiger will have something to talk about, their recent disappointing failures. Gosh, with all this world travel, campaigning and continual vacationing do you think he ever has time to actually work or read the healthcare Bill? Looks like he's already dipping into the Grecian formula, stressful job isn't it Barry?

I still see the "you lost posts to the GOPers", I think we have all lost, you guys just haven't figured it out yet. $9 trillion deficit over the next ten years, that is $9/sec for the next 36,000 years and that doesn't count the compounding interest!

You know, the President of the United States has been traveling all of the country trying to tell Americans the TRUTH about the much needed health care reform. Why has he been working so hard? Because of the lies and fear sponsored by big insurance and the Republican obstructionists. The country cannot even have civil debate over this issue because of the ALMIGHTY DOLLAR. We supporters do not call the President "Messiah"...but those who disrupt town hall meetings or try to frighten senior citizens or the "under educated" with lies and smear tactics are calling money their "Messiah." He has been working very hard and is taking a vacation with his family before school starts. I suppose none of you do know...spend time w/your family before school starts. Then, of course, he's going to have to work even harder to pass health care reform (that we ALL need and deserve) due to the party of "no." Have you heard any of their ideas or solutions? What's that? Crickets chirping...

So none of you who are complaining have never taken a vacation? If I remember correctly GWB spent a lot of his presidency on vacation all presidents have done the same so stop the whining and go do something productive.

As an avid golfer and respectful of the ethics of the game, anyone that doesn't know if he is a 16 or 24 handicapper is a LIAR as well as a total hack! Why isn't this a surprise regarding Obama?

The guy in a little over 6 months has worked harder than most of the people writting in on this article. So he and his family take a few days off ? A far cry from Bushes forever vacation. It seams no matter what this guy does some one will complaine. So I hope they enjoy themselves and who cares what gets said .
