Obama better be a one-term president! We just can't afford this guy!

Perhaps racism will win this one. I'm amazed, on a daily basis, the bigoted remarks and insinuations I hear around here in SW Florida. I'm further appauled at the GOP for putting politics before the people with their lies, greed and collusion.

I, for one, hope the US citizens see OUR President as a man of belief, character and intelligence. Someone had to finally step up to straighten this country out. I'm still glad WE chose him.

Let's get it together America... NOW!

This guy would not ever consider not making another run in 2012 even though he could get beat.

He still thinks he is the sharpest kid on the block.....

Wow! Thanks for the "news" CNN! Keep at it!

He is a one term president either way health care reform goes. I firmly believe the educated who voted for him are seeing the light! The disenchanted I hear are looking at his spending policy and the damage this is doing to the economy as a whole.

First they complain that he is all politics, now they complain because he isn't listening to public opinion. Well, what is it?

Congress should be ashamed of itself. One term president? I am embarrased for this country. We finally get a guy who has half a brain and actually CARES and the morons in Congress want to keep making it about getting THEMSELVES re-elected.

Let's get rid of all healthcare, bonuses, and pensions for all members of the federal and state governments and just SEE how long it takes for them to get off their pork-fed butts and get healthcare coverage passed for ALL Americans.

CNN is really getting desperate in it's need to sink it's ratings even further than the ratings have already sunk.

Having hit the 8 month stage of his first term, CNN is now looking to the future - will Mr. Obama run for a second term, or not?

Tea leaf speculation doesn't serve CNN - or it's viewers - well at all.

You wish. Unless the GOP comes up with a strong contender who isn't too tied to the far right-wing nuts and has actual ideas and is willing to talk about them instead of bashing Obama, then forget about it. Fear mongering isn't going to work either.

I don't think he will be a one termer. I sincerely feel that our ability to openly oppose the proposals being offered makes him worthy of re-election and rewriting term limits for the office.

Depends on who runs against him. We typically have elections where our choices are the "lesser of two evils". Old proverb: "Sometimes the devil you know is better than the devil you don't know."

Is this stupid topic one of Campbell Browns?

She needs to have another baby so it will take her off the air on maternity leave some more.

I LOVED it when she was not on CNN.

Are u kidding me , after two terms of stupidity, arrogance and the fundamental disregard for the constitution we have someone tryn to make America live up to its stature of world leader and our response is to question after 8 months whether he deserves more. Only in this country

People who have any sense at all would vote for this bill. Have you really read it or have you listened to Fox news to get your info? Most people would not be effected. It is high time the Americans stop expecting the government to keep them up. Get off your dead butts and pay your own way. I am sick of the GIVERment keeping you up. Get off the front porch and start helping yourself. You are a bunch of whiners.

Will Pres. Obama sacrifice a second term in order to get health reform for the American people will depend on if it can go into effect before his first term is over. If reform goes into effect and people discover "hey this is a much better circumstance for me than the old way," then he won't have to sacrifice a second term. But, if he has to, he probably would. So far, I think he is the first president since Clinton whose heart is with the the American citizen.

Let's not over-react here. Although Obama has disappointed many of his "true believer" supporters, he is not the disaster that George W. Bush was. Let's not forget that and the mediocre lineup of potential candidates the Republican Party has in the wings to replace him. I doubt the Democratic Party would jettison Obama and choose Hillary Clinton as their standard bearer in 2012 but if they were open to that, I would certainly be supportive of giving her a chance to see what she could do as president as she was robbed of the opportunity by a young, untested politician who sounded really good but hasn't lived up to his own billing.

Every single President would say the exact same thing. If Pres. Obama is a one term President, it will be because of his lack of judgement. He said he would not get involved in Iran's election because Iran would use that statement saying we were "meddling" Well, guess what, they said we were meddling anyway. He could have stood with the protesters, as past Presidents like Reagan and Bush did. Standing for Democracy is the right thing to do.

What we need is a Blue Dog president, one that will not lead us into War and one that will not spend us into poverty.
