Read abbout Laura Bush's classy and totallyd eserved support of our President in regards to him addressing our children in school. I read the President's speech and found in totally in line and non-political. What is wrong with this country's nuts? Quite frankly, Reagan's address to school children should've been banned, but my child sat through it and came out unscathed.

Thank you Laura for speaking your mind and letting reason, and civility prevail in your discourse.

Laura has a stable and level-headed personality, unlike some stubborn, and selectively puerile politicians in the GOP group. A lot of them scream their heads off, when BHO opens his mouth, by seethingly smothering him w/ socialisitic sobriquets as his nick name.

With CNN trailing in the ratings behind Cluster Fox News, they must have thought that appealing to the right-wingers by slanting every political story toward the right will lure viewers back in. It's going to backfire, the righties still love Cluster Fox, and the folks who hoped CNN would remain politically neutral will go elsewhere. Kudos to CNN for shooting yourselves in the foot!

Both Laura and George W Bush have been more than gracious in not bashing Obama. This shows their class and respect for the office. Just wish the same could be said for the rest of us. Thank you laura for reminding us that manners still matter and name calling is immature.

What a wise and grand bad the rest of the Republican party isn't more respectful. Wtth all the negative remarks toward this President from the GOP and the far right wing is only digging their graves even is very evident that the republicans are not willing to work with this administration, and are out to spread any and all lies that will try to make this President fail.........and this is not the kind of political party that we want to run this country......remember from your past put up every road block you could to try to make Clinton fail and instead you failed.......he got another term and this will all backfire on you again..........and Obama will have another term.......

I give Laura Bush credit for being a bigger person than her husband to come out right now and be respectful towards our president (Bush Jr. must be in hiding). When Democrats, Independents, and even some Republican's came out to show their displeasure at going to war with Iraq, those American citizens were considered – by our government – to be treasons. How DARE we have a voice to stand up for what we do not believe in. Here we are, shoe on the other foot with Republican's being SOOOO unrespectful to our president – equating him to Hitler, disbelieving his birth origin (birthers), and all the other rediculous things Republican's have been saying about our president! Show your respect people! Look – even Laura Bush can put politics aside for a moment!

What a gracious lady. I remember how liberals attacked, demeaned and denigrated her during and after the Bush presidency. I hope we all remember that. We should also remember how the libs attacked, demeaned, denigrated and demonized the family of Sarah Palin and continue to do so. Liberals are arrogant, mean and lazy people, that why so many unions find themselves supporting liberals and why and ACORN have found themselves a home in the democratic party. The party of mean.

I think republicans need to listen to Mrs. Bush. She or someone like her is the key to fixing the republican party. You don't always have to demonize the other side and you can still get your point accross. I am glad I read this because it makes me respect her a lot.

I kind of feel sorry for Laura. She always seems like a nice lady.

Of course, every time she and the former President are in town, the motorcades cause tieups everywhere! She seems like she's a lot happier now than she was 9 months ago!

You know how desperate the Democrat hand-holders in the media are right now?

Of a story regarding Obama's twice-revised speech he will give the children today, the hand-holders ask Mrs. Bush a question about criticism; she responds in her usual perfunctory way by relating to the hell that the socialist, activist media printed with glee about her husband; and Democrats everywhere thinks she is a sweet and wise woman.

The woman, in her usual, polite manner, just slapped the hell out of the machine that slammed her husband daily, and the readership at this website think she is "the only good republican" out there.

This passes for logic on the socialist left?
