House Democrats outraise GOP in August

WASHINGTON (CNN) - The House Democratic and Republican campaign committees Friday each reported raising more than $3 million last month, but Democrats maintain a significant cash-on-hand advantage over the GOP one year before the midterm elections.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee said it raised $3.3 million in August, and currently has just over $10.7 million in the bank. Meanwhile, the National Republican Congressional Committee reported collecting about $3.2 million last month, leaving it with a cash-on-hand balance of $4.2 million.

Even though the DCCC is carrying more than double the debt of the NRCC - $4.7 million to $2 million - Democrats ended the month with a stronger bank balance of more than $6 million, compared to the GOP's $2.2 million.

Well, if Democrats continue to do crazy deficit spending, bail out their Goldman Sachs buddies, hand GM shares to their Union buddies, ram through awful healthcare reform legislation and raise taxes, I think that all the money in the world will not help them from losing control of the House and Senate. Frankly, Obama (like Clinton)'s best chance to get re-elcted is if the Republicans take over congress and the balance of power moderates the positions and policies. If that happens, Obama's charisma can get him re-elected. That is how Clinton won re-election. Our best years were when we had a President from one party and a legislature from the other!

The American people will voice their true opinion in 2010! ACORN, Marxist Czar, Weakened national defense, Cap and Trade, Healthcare, Higher taxes, socialistic programs etc.propagated under Democatic leadership will ensure a major housecleaning no matter which party has the most money in their campaign coffers.

I think the current trajectory, which has thinking persons of a centrist nature fleeing the GOP in revulsion of the Base, has just about run its course. Because more centrist pols like Romney and Pawlenty will realize that playing to the Base is a losing proposition. The Base, feeling abandoned, will then split off under Sarah Palin as a third party, I expect them to call themselves something like the American Patriot Party. The risk to the Dems is that while this is happening they will move too far to the left and leave a centrist majority for a reformed GOP.

I hate Fox news, they are liars! That's why so many people call Fox News "Faux News" and "Fake News." Don't they have enough intelligence to know that people realize that they are not telling the truth? Of course they don't!

You guys realize headlines like this only prove the accusation that you might have an ever-so-subtle political bias, right? When did blatenly biased news become acceptable? I mean seriously, they basically raised the same amounts. I'm a democrat, and I think you guys are flat-out embarassing in your slant these days.
