WASHINGTON (CNN) - Joe Biden's headed back to Iowa.

Wait - this isn't a flashback to 2007, when then-Sen. Biden was making his own bid for the White House. The vice president will be the special guest at the Iowa Democratic Party's annual Jefferson Jackson Dinner. The event, which is scheduled to take place November 21 in Des Moines, was announced by the Iowa Democratic Party and confirmed by the vice president's office Tuesday.

Next month, Biden will also lend a helping hand to Arlen Specter, the Republican-turned-Democratic senior senator from Pennsylvania, who faces a primary challenge next year from Rep. Joe Sestak.

The vice president's office confirms to CNN that Biden will appear with Specter at two events, a Bucks County Democratic Dinner on October 2 and a Allegheny County Democratic Dinner on October 19.

UPDATE: The Vice President's office confirms that Biden will attend an event for Rep. Paul Hodes - the New Hampshire congressman now running for the Senate - October 5 in New York City.

Helping Arlen is a great idea and should assure Specter's demise.

Guess they figure Biden can't do too much damage campaigning for Specter. Poor Biden, they don't trust him to do too much, always sticks his foot in his mouth.

The best thing that could happen for the Republicans is for Biden to tour the country and talk and talk and talk and talk. This guy is the biggest gaf machine and liar ever.

  7. Victim of Democrats acting "stupidly"

Maybe he can stop campaigning long enough to possibly talk to General McCrystal who is in charge in Afghanistan?

Somebody needs to show some fortitude and act like a president and not the lying fraud of a coward that is "playing one on tv".

Is this a never ending campaign to these people, while Rome is burning these frauds fiddle and lie?

2010 can't get here fast enough.

The clown escaped from the circus. Can't wait for some Biden entertainment, things have been pretty depressing lately. Seems like a harmless assignment, he shouldn't get into too much trouble.

Maybe Biden could raise some money for Mrs Nobama. She dresses like she shops in a rag bin. Does not qualify for trashy taste but something worse, no taste at all in clothes.

Why is everyone suddenly so concerned with where their tax dollars are going? What's that? You want to use trillions of our taxes to fight an unjustified war halfway across the world & which will cost us thousands of American lives? Not to mention the hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians that are being slaughtered there? Sure, no problem! Take as much as you want! But you want to use taxes to make sure all my fellow Americans are taken care of, that they're able to provide for their families, that they can purchase a home, have jobs, and not lose their retirement? By God, NO WAY! There is NO WAY you are using MY tax dollars for that lazy, worthless, deadbeat who just happens to be my neighbor and fellow citizen

I love VP Biden. However, i wish VP did not participate in the State primary process. There may be some short term gain. But long term it will hurt us.
