Palin's book shoots to No. 1

(CNN) - Sarah Palin's 432 page memoir isn't set to be released for more than seven weeks, but the highly anticipated tell-all has already shot to No. 1 on Barnes and Nobles' Web site, supplanting new releases from bestselling authors Dan Brown and Mitch Albom.
The forthcoming book has also vaulted up Amazon.com's bestseller list, currently holding the No. 3 spot just behind Glenn Beck's "Arguing with Idiots: How to Stop Small Minds and Big Government."
The book - titled "Going Rogue: An American Life" in reference to the anonymous criticism directed at the former Alaska governor by aides to Republican presidential nominee John McCain - is scheduled to be released on November 17.
Palin's publisher, Harper, has ordered a massive first printing of 1.5 million copies, and is not releasing an electronic version until the day after Christmas in an effort to drive up sales of the more expensive hardcover edition, the Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday.

This "memoir" was written for her. She probably can't even read it. According to Levi Johnson (see current Vanity Fair) Palin doesn't read anything, she just hangs out in her bedroom watching junky TV shows.
Maybe she will have a ltitle success pandering to the ignorant and make herself a litle money. She has been a complete failure at everything else she has done. Mayor – failure, Governor- failure, vo candidate- failure. Good luck Sarah, you may have found something you can finish and not end up a financial disaster.
Who would have guessed there are so many people willing to shell out hard-earned money to buy a book full of lies and distortions from an intellectual lightweight. I guess the old saying holds true, "you'll never lose money underestimating the intelligence of the general public."
The only reason people watch her is that she's good looking. If she was heavy set and not so good looking, no one would even care. It has nothing to do with Left or right. Its like people always watching the Stars on ET.

I can understand the publisher printing 1.5 millions copies of Palin’s book. There are a lot more than 1.5 million idiots in this country and the publishers objective is only to make money. As for why it only took 4 months to complete her book, well she's not done anything that would take longer than 4 months to write about. It appears that everything she started, she quit. Not a lot to write about there. She will probably use most of the book explaining how she quit one task to assume a more important one and to lay blame to all those that took pot shots at her.
Her book definitely will not be one about her successes because she has never finished anything she started. In fact I would venture to say that the last page of her book will be a blank page. About the only positive thing I can say about her is in reference to a comment my mother used to make to us as children. She often caught us playing around when we were supposed to be working and she would say to us: " If you are going to act stupid, you should at least get paid to do it". Well she is getting paid now but at what cost to her future ability to earn.
This only points to the fact of how many morons are out here in the public. She's going to pocket alot of money from all the birth-baggers, and run smiling to the bank. Alot of dumb, uberpartisan rightwingers will be separated from their money. And, actually, I find that a reason to celebrate. Congratulations Sarah Moose.
A little bit of wisdom for the right who seem to think the left fear Palin. The left doesn't fear Palin in the least. It wouldn't have mattered who she was, left or right, man or women. It has been her exceptionally polarizing behavior and actions that has gotten her attention and continues to do so.
Ms. Palin is good at inciting the frontal lobes of the extreme right into thinking that their loud boisterous noise is equal to making ground politically. In other words, if you have to say something stupid, say it loudly.
You can't win with just the base, you have to be inclusive. A personality trait that Ms. Palin more than severely lacks.
And just as her polarizing behavior helped get the Dems and Independents to vote against the no answer right before, she is on her way to doing it again.
The take-away from the GOP ticker comments today – science is bad, and giving Palin money for her writing is good.

432 pages, you have to be kidding – How many pages does it take to describe a half term quitter? Give it about 60 days and it will be on the bargain shelf for $1.98 right next to Ann Coulter.

I Already have the book pre-ordered on Amazon. What an amazing lady and she will be our next president. That will drive the left to absolute lunacy and I'll have the popcorn ready to watch.
Somebody strong has to come in and clean up the mess after this circus leaves.
Wonder how many copies are being bought by Rush, Sean and the folks at Fox to inflate the numbers . I would sooner take personal financial advice from Madoff than waste a second reading anything ghost written by this lying wench. As much as I am trying to avoid mention of anything Palin, I am sure I will hear more about this book than I care too from the many news outlets who will waste time fact checking and disecting it's contents for weeks after it's release.

and it is no suprise that she has a few million devout followers.. no one has ever disputed her numbers.... but the rest of us realize that the few million that want her to be their leader, just isnt the amount of people needed to get elected president of our country, much less her party's own nomination. so i say, good for you sarah, now we all know why you quit your job, so you could finish your book in time for the gift buying season.. too bad the lower and middle class are still financially suffering due to republican deregulation and cant afford to buy hardback books.
