Gingrich hits Obama over Olympics

President Obama is damed if does and damed if he doesn't...the GOP just isn't going give him a break on anything. They make me so tired.
And Newty doesn't offer a single idea, positive thought or vision for American. Taking cheap shots at The President of The United States for trying to bring an international event to the USA doesn't show much leadership Mr. Gingrich. It shows you are a petty little brat.
The fact is that what Obama tried to do exemplies a quintessential American value we teach our children. That value is that you do not always win in life and that there is no dishonor in losing as long as the cause was good, you competed honorably and you tried your best.
Men like Gingrich who served as the catalyst during his time in office for ushering in the 'politics of personal destruction' again reveals how contrary and out of touch he is with main stream American values.

Obama blew that olympic bid. He talked about himself the entire time. So did Michellle. Nobody wants to hear about how great Obama thinks he is.

I am actually am happy that the Olympics are making their way to South America for the first time ever. However, I am more than happy that our President gave it his very best effort to capture this opportunity (for business) for our country.
It was a DAY TRIP. More time has been wasted by these loudmouths who think they should get to tell the president what to do.
Republicans have officially lost ALL of my respect. This is way worse than the Bush opposition ever was...

Republicans fail to pass meaningful, long-range health care reform that works to reduce costs to consumers, removes unfair business practices by insurance companies, and brings all Americans on an even playing ground.
Republicans do not support equal marriage rights.
Republicans work to cut taxes for the rich in some imagined hope that the rich will then spend it substantially on the workers that made them rich.
Republicans started wars that were not needed... gave Americans with the bill... with no clear end or direction, and then turn around and blame President Obama for their mess.
Republicans hold gun rights holy over all other rights
The bottom line is it'll take time to fix the problems created by years of a Republican Congress and presidency. These fixes are happening, and no, not even President Obama is perfect, but these fixes are happening.
It won't be thanks to Republicans, however. Republicans are the only ones still sitting in a depression while the rest of America progresses.
What did we expect him to say something nice? The olympic was for all of America, surley he would know that . Some would rather see America fall than for Obama to make it rise
What do you do mr. Gingrich, not try anything? Is it better to let the whole country go to hell in a handbasket because there is no assurance of success when you undertake something? You weren't critical of Mr. Bush when he traveled to China during our crisis, but since Mr. Obama is not white nor a Republican he is held to higher standard. mr. Gingrich you have no idea what the average american is going through since you are financially rich in comparison to most americans. Where was the focused leadership during the Bush years and mr. Bush was always going on his vacations on his ranch.
And the twitter if he didn't go? "Obama doesn't support his own home state, so the U.S. loses bid for Olympics... I guess he doesnt care about jobs!"
Getting the Olympics to Chicago would have been helpful to creating jobs and helping that cities economy. Gingrich does not offer any positive comments about anything the Presidet does. So what is new?

Newt should eat a pile of spit and shut up. This fake reality that presidents only show up after the war was won is BS. Its this fake reality is really why we are in the deep doo we are in. We want someone who will roll their sleeves up and have a go at it. In any event this wasn't Obama's campaign, it was Chicago's and it was a sporting event. Obama was asked to help. he wasn't their leader only the talent. BTW, he is doing a good job of leading roughshod over republicans in every piece of legislation, indluing the soon to be public HC option. How much oxycontin did newt have this morning, anti american jackax. Funny, Obama has these guys so ax over alligators the Nascar party now hates sports and loves medicare.

okay, we are going to listen to Gingrich, why? At least our President and First Lady went out and did the bes they could...sorry, Mr. Gingrich, this has nothing to do with charm and oratory....our respect throughout the world has grown by leaps and bounds...I hear from my family in Europe all the time about how respected our President is...so, sir, why don't you just go and worry about giving away awards for $5000 to line your pockets and remember how you were run out of Congress!!! Our First Family has CLASS, something which you have no clue about!!

And his point being what? If he had secured the olympic they would have had something to say. I admire this President he saught to bring a major event to his city and this nation. I would rather see a leader who works to bring an event than to see one go to participate for 3-4 days watching on tax payers money.
