[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/10/02/art.newttwitter.cnn.jpg caption="Gingrich is taking aim at Obama on Twitter."](CNN) - Former House Speak Newt Gingrich is taking aim on Twitter at President Obama over Chicago's loss in its bid to host the 2016 Olympics:

@newtgingrich Somehow charm and oratory dont seem to work in foreign affirs but historians have warned that foreign policy is different than campaigning

@newtgingrich President Eisenhower had a rule that Presidents of the United States went to the meetings after success had been assured

@newtgingrich President Obama fails to get the Olympics while unemployment goes to 9.8% Iran continues nuclear program. America needs focused leadership

Maybe if Gingrich would have been so passionate about criticizing or giving advise Bush when he were in power unemployment wouldn't have been so high and what about wasting innocent life, time and money Iraq instead of dealing with the rising problem of Iran.

Now that's Common Sense there. CNN and its lefty readership can salve their consciouses by villifying Speak Gingrich, but he speaks the truth. The "idea" of Obama wooed a lot of shallow idealogues, but the reality is a slow death for American cred world wide.

Ever notice how the Republicans are quick to criticize, but what have they offered lately?

This mess started under a Republican President – they soon forget!

America does not need a leader who could barely address and focus on one thing at a time, like the former occupant of the White House.

Newt is right in oh-so-many ways.

America needs better than 0bama. We should have never sent a newbie hack to do the job of an American.

Republicans have lost their collective minds, do you really beleive your party has a chance in 2012 if you obstruct and ridicule the pres. at every turn?

Well he still beat you to the presidency, so your lips still should not move.

First of all it was the Olympics, not foreign policy. Secondly, bashing the President in public over something not particularly consequential is bad for foreign policy. It emboldens the enemy, implying that America is weak and not unified. How can we win against an enemy without a unified front, with people like Mr. Gingrich emboldening them on a daily basis? You, Mr. Gingrich, and your colleagues who bash the President at every turn for every word and every deed, you are all bad Americans, enablers of the enemy, some might say traitors. Shame shame shame.

Newt Gingrich and his ilk are like Dementors - they suck all joy and hope out of life, leaving fear and despair in their wakes!

Mr. Newt Gingrich just incase you have short memory, please, let me remind you again that the 9.8 % employment is/was caused by the GOP mismanagement of the economy! instead of cerebrating th 9.8 % you should be explaining and a pologizing to the American people!!

Newt says that charm and oratory doesn't work in foreign affairs. Well, neither does "Contract With America" in the United States. How'd that work out for ya, Newt?

The president and everyone that went to Denmark did their very best for Chicago and the country. If you are going to criticize you must first get off your fat ass and do something .

Newt, please stop being so jealous of Obama. It amazes me and so many others how you make petty comments any way you can. you are a true hypocrit!! Presidents...at least this president can take care of more than one thing at a time. Enroute to Coppenhagen, he met with Gen Mc Chrystal. and Airforce One is equipped with a mini Oval Office...so go somewhere and sit down!

Newt Gingrich fails to achieve his own personal political goals and takes aim at president to boost own ego.

Is he sure he sent it to the right email address? Isn't this the same man who sent two letters to a strip club and a porn site asking for donations and promising them a photo with him as well as a gavel if they donated money to him and then reniged his offer after they made all of the arrangements including sending him money. I'd go back to my hole if I were you Newt.

By the third year of his presidency, President Reagan ran the unemployment to over 10%, before things began to turn around. Be patient little fella, signs are that the economy is improving.
