[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/10/02/art.newttwitter.cnn.jpg caption="Gingrich is taking aim at Obama on Twitter."](CNN) - Former House Speak Newt Gingrich is taking aim on Twitter at President Obama over Chicago's loss in its bid to host the 2016 Olympics:

@newtgingrich Somehow charm and oratory dont seem to work in foreign affirs but historians have warned that foreign policy is different than campaigning

@newtgingrich President Eisenhower had a rule that Presidents of the United States went to the meetings after success had been assured

@newtgingrich President Obama fails to get the Olympics while unemployment goes to 9.8% Iran continues nuclear program. America needs focused leadership

  2. Obama is a disaster waiting to happen!

Newt is correct on this one. What a joke this President has become. There seems to be absolutely zero substance to Obama.

The Dems will be stinging from this failed Presidency a lot longer than even Carter's.

Bring back the good ole days of Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan.

Of course the Republicans will criticize President Obama for trying to bring jobs and money and positive exposure to the United States.

Since they have no solutions for anything and no leadership ability, all they are capable of doing is criticizing for the sake of critcizing.

Republicans would criticize President Obama if it rains on their next fake tea party this weekend.....just a bunch of do-nothing losers.

What have they done for America this year???? NOTHING

I FINALLY have something to agree with Newt on. Obama should not be wasting one second of his time on a 2 week event occuring in 7 years.

How soon the Republicans like Gingrich forget – When is your party going to come up with real ideas to rebuild what they; the Republicans have destoyed in this great nation.I cannot believe that the entire focus of the "NO" party is to attack a president who is working very hard to repair the great, great damage done to mankind by the republican party. Go away Gingrich, you will never be prsident and thats what is killing you.

Political leaders that sits in church every Sunday. Please follow what scripture says. It's so embarrassing to see my Christian brothers and sisters fighting our President of our country.

At the end of the day, are you glorifying God? Do you think your actions and words are being of a Christian? Take a look in the mirror and make a change......

    Sister in Christ

Proverbs 12:17 (New American Standard Bible)

17He who speaks truth tells what is right,
    But a false witness, deceit.

Gingrich, the wife cheater and corrupt politician. Obama went to fight for the olympics for the American people. You get it or not?

If he didn't go, you will still blast him. You will likely claim that he didn't go fight to bring the olympics to the USA.

    You hypocrite!

This is exactly why we need a breath of fresh air in politics, and I don't mean Newt. We need to get on board with Sarah Palin.

Finally a Obama learns that he can't solve the world's problems (or America's for that matter) with speeches alone.

Mr.Gingrich would find fault with President Obama for hosting a reception for Jesus Christ. He conveniently forgets the absolute mess
his political party left for this country . He and his cronies had rather see America go down the tube than to work with the Democrats to
resolve the problems he helped cause. I don't why I am wasting my time writing this. Newt, Rush, and Glenn are just simply
opportunists/extortionists. They ARE NOT trying to save America. How
can you tell if Newt and his buddies are lying ? Anytime they open
    their mouths.

Yes, because that is what we need to teach our children. Only try if you KNOW you are going to succeed. What better role model than the President reaching out to try and get the Olympics here? It didn't get done, but he reached out and did what he could to at least try. Are there more important things to tend to? Of course, there always are. Doesn't mean you ignore everything else.

Focused leadership? Like you focused on your mistresses? Like Bush focused only on spending money and lives in Iraq and totally dropped the ball on the middle class, Katrina victims, health care, mortgages, and any regulation of the financial sector? And all the while he was encouraging torture, illegal spying, and many more heinous crimes we don't even know about yet? Thanks, Newt, but I'll take the ability of Obama to focus on more than one problem at once over any Republican's crisis responses, anytime. And frankly, we could do with a little charm when dealing with foreign governments. It works way better than bullying, but then, you've never tried it, have you?

My comment: Republicans are always taking shots. Has anyone in the Republican party done anything over the last six months other than criticize Obama?
