Alaska's 'First Dude' resigns

WASHINGTON (CNN)– The 'First Dude' of Alaska will no longer be working in the oil fields.
The Alaska Dispatch reports Todd Palin has quit his job with BP’s North Slope operation. The newspaper quotes BP Company spokesman Steve Rinehart as saying Palin submitted his resignation last month and officially resigned September 18.
As a production operator, Todd Palin was responsible for management of the oil gathering centers, where oil is gathered from multiple wells.
BP PLC is one of the largest energy companies in the world.
Todd Palin, the "First Dude" to former Governor Sarah Palin, shot to national fame along with his wife when she was named Republican vice presidential nominee. He also professionally races snowmobiles (known in Alaska as “snowmachines) and is a commercial fisherman.
News of his resignation comes about two months after Sarah Palin's resignation from office on July 26.

feel free to stop publish articles about the Palins. As you can no doubt see from the numerous number of your readers who are baffled, as am I, about how they continue to make it into your feeds...I would imagine that there are more important things you could be writing about...

Must be nice. Quit jobs....travel around the country......who knows who's watching the kids. These guys are the pride of the religious and conservative right. I must be missing something. At this point I think they have no values except love of self and making the money while her star is high in the sky. Which is fine if they didn't purport to be the so much better than the rest of us. I think that is what annoys me.......that "holier than thou" attitude while taking advantage of everyone and everything that comes their way.

This is no news... seriously. I guess the name "Palin" sells tabloid news. Unfortunately CNN has not announced officially they are deep into tabloid news.
Neither of them are retiring on my dime. They couldn't sell me a book or anything else.
Todd Palin is not "First Dude," nor is Sarah Palin "Governor."
She quit her job before her term was up, so they should be referred to simply by their names.
The only titles they deserve before their names are Quitter, Liar or Mooch.

I live in Anchorage, Alaska and we are ALL sick and tired of the Palins. All they are is a backwards trashy couple with a slight coating of paint to make them look pretty. What they really need is professional intervention to help their children and help the parents see that what they really need to concentrate on is their own kids. Those kids need REAL parenting.
I don't think Sarah Palin even deserves the title, "Former Governor Palin," since she quit mid-term.
Nor does Todd Palin deserve the title, "Former First Dude."
It's an insult to everyone out there who didn't quit when the going got tough to call the Palins anything other than "Mr." and "Mrs."

"THEY" are why the whole world makes fun of us and hates us. And other stupid people like them want to elect her to our highest office? It is a sad day in America when THAT is a reality. Stupid people outbreed smart people and we are seeing the effects of that right now. It is a sad time to be an American.
Now since Saint Sarah of the Silly has hit the jackpot, maybe they will hire a governess or two to take competent care of the younger kids.
Maybe the younger girls, Water and Tundra, will finish high-school before those "christian" values kick in and they start to advance the White Supremist agenda by having white kids, after all who needs marriage?

All you Palin haters out there, if you hate this family so much why do you even read these commentaries? Your blood pressure must shoot up to 220/120 every time you do. With the proposed health care reform you will have to take better care of yourself to avoid a stroke or heart attack over reading a Palin article and getting all worked up. What would happen if you showed a little kindness or compassion? You may be surprised.
