WASHINGTON (CNN) - The White House is dispatching Vice President Biden to New Jersey and Virginia later this week to campaign for each of the state's Democratic candidates for governor.

Biden will speak alongside Jon Corzine at the New Jersey AFL-CIO 2009 Legislative Conference in Atlantic City on Wednesday at the Borgata Hotel.

The Vice President will then return to the Washington area to raise money for Democrat Creigh Deeds the next day at a private home in Alexandria.

The visits mark the second time this year Biden has lent some administration firepower to the two gubernatorial campaigns - he first appeared with Corzine at a campaign rally in June, and helped Deeds raise money in July.

I guess the administration feels this is more important than dealing with Iran. The United States should turn over international leadership to France, at least France has the backbone to call out the Iranians.

An AFL-CIO conference in New Jersey. Perfect. I'm sure Biden will assure them that, no matter the unemployment rate, their no-show jobs will be protected. They should give out "Corzine in '09" baseball bats to kneecap any non-union laborers they encounter.

I hope he can remember which is which. This man seems totally out of it. Very symptomatic of the democratic party.

What a joke... Biden is going to waste taxpayer money for travel to help campaign for two Democrats who have no chance for re-election. America is fed up with the liberal agenda and the voters are going to throw the bums out!

Can't imagine Biden "helping" anyone. They must be in dire straits to want him to make an appearance. May be that Comic Relief is needed.

It is critical for Democrats to keep being elected UNLESS they are only going to continue to serve their Corporate Masters, just like the Republicans. You'd have to seriously persuade me to think otherwise given the actions/inactions of much of their own leadership! Bernie Sanders, Dennis Kucinich, Jim McDermott and some others are all we have standing in the way of total Fascism disguised to look like Democracy! Peace

Seeing as I live in New Joisey, and the Stimulus money is supposed to be stimulating democratic strongholds, how about stimulating some of our roads there, Veep?

Deeds and Biden go together. Both are bad for Va.; both want higher taxes in this state. Just say NO to Deeds in Nov. I will.

Just 11 months ago Democratic pundits like Carville were glouting that the GOP was dead for the next 40 years. So why are they leading in these two states that went for Obama? Could it be that the koolaid is wearing off?
