Steele's blog no longer titled 'What Up?'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/10/14/art.gop.gi.jpg caption="The RNC has apparently changed the name of Michael Steele's blog."]WASHINGTON (CNN) - After an initial round of Internet mockery, the Republican National Committee has apparently decided to drop "What Up?" as the title of Michael Steele's blog on the newly revamped GOP.com.

One day after the rollout of the site, which crashed repeatedly throughout the day Wednesday and was ridiculed by Democrats and Republicans alike, Steele's blog is now called "Change the Game."

There's still only one post so far on the blog, a short entry that asks readers to answer the question, "Why are you a Republican?"

Just change to the name to reflect the reality that everyone knows.

Change it to: Rush Says ..."

Steele ought to call his blog:
"Come On, Let Me Show You How To Be Hip".

Or better yet continue as he is in that old fashioned wanna be cool use of vernacular that shows how empty he really is.

    Let's see...
    1. They couldn't even put up a website that works.
    2. They use a racial coloquilism in the title.
    3. They use a title that is grammatically incorrect.
    4. And nobody pays attention.

Mr. Steele, your job was the 'rebranding' of the GOP. This looks like a dismal marketing campaign if you ask me. The next time you fault the president for something that was not completely successful (like the Chicago Olympics bid), you should remember the quality of your own efforts. I would fire a person that worked for me if this is the best he can do.

Bad idea for Steele to first use racial slang for his blog title, worse in acknowledging everything is a "game" to the GOPPERS with the second title.

OMG, "What Up?" is so fake and stupid; what do they think that we can't see through their lame attempts of presenting themselves as an "in- cool" party that gets the technology of the today's 'kids.' Barf!

republicans need to give it up – the party is a mess – they are no longer relevant -= there is no way they can change – they are stuck in the past, and we are moving forward without them. Young, old, black, white, asian, muslim indians, hispanics. We are the people that elected Obama. We are the people of the future. The Nobel Committee sees that in Obama.

The Party of Lincoln has devolved into a bunch of whiny, lying, cheating, quitting, mooching, ignorant buffoons.

Oh, and they think the majority of Americans are as stupid as they are.

"What Up?" is the GOP is nothing more than a lunatic fringe element, with all its level-headed, intelligent members fleeing in droves!

  13. Angry white guy minority where be my check

The GOP has had to change its persona to try and get the educated and intelligent Black, Hispanic and other socially classified minorities to wake up and join. The left continues to cry racism around the GOP to keep the block votes that keep them in power, angry white guys? When that specific segment of society is excessively taxed into paying to carry the remainder of the populus, it should be easy for even the idiots to understand the anger, it isn't really color specific. Life isn't fair, you work for what you get, and there is NO FREE LUNCH. These are the basis of Conservative ideals that our elected elitists have seem to forgotten...

Clean out Washington DC in 2010 and 2012, Vote out ALL incumbents. This is the only Hope America has to break the network of lobbyists and special interests that has corrupted our way of life!

I think it's fairly clear that the RNC had not the slightest idea that by trying to be hip and cool in an attempt to appeal to minorities, they ended up insulting them instead. The fact that Steele, himself a black man, did not realize the affront speaks VOLUMES about how out of touch the RNC is. Is it any wonder they deny their inherent racist tendencies? Maybe Steele should rename his blog "Uncle Tom".

"Change The Game" is supposed to be better? Seriously?

Does Michael Steele have a "Dictionary of Cheesy Cliches" that he is using to pick a name for his blog?

I'm still amazed that "What Up?" made it through the process at all. You know that at least 10 people signed off on that, and every single one of them should be fired immediately.

The G.O.P just doesn't get it it's not about looking hip it's about what you do for the american people and for the last 8 years you made life bad for us now americans have a short memory so if your party would have a plan to show the american people we would look at it but as long as rush limbaugh ,glenn beck and sean hannity run your party you will never win the big ones.

CNN, are you trying to slam the site because it's the RNC? I've got to be honest, I didn't see any problem with the site when I got there. There were plenty of posts under Steel's blog. I don't see a problem with "Change the Game" or "What's Up". The content was very interesting. I made a donation. Great site.

Will you be slamming the DNC site as well? Or just the Republican sites?

Steele is a Republican because he has a brain, and refuses to portray himself as a victim or become a welfare queen. Question answered.

LOL! This is the first I heard of it, and I'm shocked that this article isn't just a joke! The man the GOP put up as their blatant "we have a black guy too" ploy, names his blog "what up?"?!! HAHAHA What a dork, loser, sellout.

As usual the Republicans and GOP have no clear message or leader for their party. That is why they are the "Party of No"; no agenda, no leader, no bipartenship, no plan, no bill, no how, no way, no minorities, no ideas, no compromise, no American support, and no positive attitude towards towards their country or the president

I'm curious about why middle class voters choose to be Republicans myself. Why do they continue, year after year, decade after decade, voting for people who want to destroy the middle class.

After all, Conservatives have OPPOSED every workplace safety regulation, the 8 hour day, the 40 hour week, equal pay for women, laws against sexual harassment at the workplace, EVERY increase or improvement in workplace benefits. ANY regulation of corporations including banks (are you enjoying the recession?), Social Security (they're still opposed and would kill it if they could), Medicare (ditto), Medicaid (ditto), EVERY water, air, and soil anti-pollution law, and EVERY tax (as if the government can run at a deficit forever).

The rich are skinning the middle class alive, and Conservative voters are enabling them. Why?
