Blagojevich reportedly lands gig on Celebrity Apprentice

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/10/16/art.celeb.gi.jpg caption="Blagojevich is reportedly going to star in Celebrity Apprentice."](CNN) - Members of the Blagojevich family are becoming pros at reality television.

First, Patti Blagojevich, wife of ex-Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, appeared on NBC's "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here" this past summer, lasting 23 days in the Costa Rican jungle before being voted off.

Now the disgraced former governor himself - who had reportedly been the original choice for the Survivor-like show - appears likely to be a cast member of this season's "Celebrity Apprentice."

People Magazine reports Blagojevich has been spotted on the New York City set, along with Sharon Osbourne, ex-baseball star Darryl Straweberry, celebrity chef Curtis Stone, and comedian Sinbad. Singer Cyndi Lauper and Bret Michaels are also rumored to be a part of this year's cast.

NBC is not confirming the official cast list.

Anything for ratings. Anything. Tonya Harding got a gig on a cable channel that reviews dumb videos. We all know what Tom Delay has been up to lately. It is hard to believe, but these polarizing figures are apparently good for ratings. I'm personally disgusted with it.

Why do we as a sociey constantly reward those that do the wrong thing? Do something illegal or morally wrong and if you were in a position of authority we will elevate you to celetrity status. Thanks Donald Trump for being an opportunist so we can continue to send the wrong message to our young people.

This should boost NBC's ratings. I'll definitely tune in to watch this season.

I dont have a problem with this. The man has to make a living and if a reality show is his choice, so be it. Everyone stoops to some level when they are broke.
I think it will be fun to watch The Donald give Blago a tongue lashing on national TV. He'll find out he isnt "all that." And I think it will be fun to watch Sharon Osbourne take him on too – like Joan Rivers, she takes no crap from anybody.
Reality TV is so amusing, the only reality show more amusing is called the United States Congress.

Have they brought charges against this man yet. I think the case is going down the drain. As an Illinoian I think what they did to this man is sad and ridiculous.

I was gonna say that I am surprised that Donald Trump would be involved with this character, but then I realized he propped up Carrie Prejean for a while (until he saw past her beauty and witnessed her inner true colors).

Blago is a living legend in New York. Outside of maybe Obama, Pelosi, and Van Jones, Blagovich represents what it means to be a Democrat and act like a liberal in every aspect of your life to the fullest.

Its in their eyes, you look at someone like Blago and their indecency, hate, lack of ingtegrity, morals, and values comes shinning through, making it beyond obvious that the are Democrat before they try to stab you in the back ,steal from you, lie to your face, or unleash a hate-filled tirade void of facts, as all Democrats do.

How about Mark Sanford and Rod Blagojevich against John Ensign and John Edwards? No, that wouldn't be fair, the two Republicans are both still in office, the Democrats are has-beens who don't really matter anymore.

If indeed this is true, it's pathetic. This is the problem in this country. No one takes responsibility. Blagojevich is the lowest of the low and yet we are going to trivialize his crimes and put him on a reality show. Utterly and totally pathetic.

Oh please! Why can't Rod simply go to Joliet prison and stamp out license plates like the other IL governors do!

You refer to Blago as "disgraced". I would submit that those remaining in government in Illinois are the disgraced ones–Blago didn't do what he's charged with alone. This entire state government needs to go. gpc, chicago

  20. CELEBRITY????

This is a disgrace. A governor that has been involved in criminal activity is considered a celebrity? What are we teaching our children? Is it acceptable to break the law? I am so disgusted that people would want to have anything to do with this couple at all. What is more disturbing is the fact that the ratings will probably soar just to see this mess. It is enough to make anyone sick.

Is incredible how this guy can get all the attencion..

However, is up to the public not to give a forum to such individuals.

Seems to be a difficult task, this society seems to love stories as such.. Money sex and rock & roll.. it sells..

    Get real people...

This guy(the ex-governor) is disgusting. He needs to have his bail revoked and be sitting in a jail somewhere awaiting trial. What a scumbag.

Should be a fun show, but I still dont' like Blagojevich. He uses people, particularly minorities.

If things has gone his way in the beginning, the last person he would have selected to replace Barack Obama's senate seat would be Burris. Burris was the only person who was dumb enough to except it.
