McCain campaign manager Steve Schmidt and David Plouffe, his counterpart on the Obama campaign, are teaming up to develop a political communications center at the University of Delaware. Both men attended the university, though they did not graduate.
The two political operatives are working together to develop a curriculum combining political science, communication, marketing, sociology, and other subjects.
The effort comes as both Schmidt and Plouffe are in the process of obtaining their full bachelor's degrees from the university.
"It's a privilege to get a chance to work with David and the talented women and men at the University of Delaware to help create a center that will help students study our political system and maybe inspire a few of them to participate in our nations political life," Schmidt said in an e-mail to CNN.
The news comes a day before Plouffe is set to speak at his alma mater in what will be one of the few open press speeches the former Obama campaign manager has delivered since the election.
CNN,
...nations political life ....? nation should be possessive. That means you use an apostrophe between the n and the s. Come on!
YEP – Schmidt will learn a lot from Plouffe and vice versa!!! It's great to see two young OPPOSITES come together to build one structure under the same roof................GOOD LUCK GUYS!!!
Thats cool. When its up and running, i think it do it. Although David better return to us for the 2012 campaign.
It is truly great that these two men can join forces for a worthy cause. It would be so beneficial to the country if the two parties could do the same but, until the Republican Party, regains control from the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck and Fox News, no responsible arrangements can take place. The once-proud Republian Party has lost its sole.
Many fault talk radio show hosts as not graduating from universities and thus being stupid; seems to be the usual case with all these communication experts (where you need common sense and not high education's diploma).

They called that a war? It looked more like a pillow fight at the sorority house, where was there any aggressive attack by McCain's campaign team other than a little rabble rousing by Sara Palin? Where was the focus on any of the now publicized facts about Obama and his cronies like Rev. Wright, Bill (The Terrorist) Ayers, ACORN and all the other Marxist/Socialist affiliations that FOX (not the News) has brought to light? That was not a campaign, that was a roll over and die effort, similar to what our middle class is now doing! Watch the systematic destruction of our economy and erasure of the middle class, ever wonder why Hillary always wears RED?
good for them 🙂
This sounds like a new version for socialism. I hope these two have
some sense of what this country was founded for. They look a littel old to being going to college after dropping out some time ago.
So then why can't congress work together. There are solutions that are reasonable to everyone for the economy and healthcare.
Do we really need another political communications center? We already have ABC, NBC and CBS that decreed Obama the messiah. We have FOX that is against him. I don't think we need anymore clearing houses for lies. There are enough out there.
Why don't they just open a Constitution to understand how our system works?
Oh wait- they haven't followed that since 1913.
Wonder why we are where we are today?
IMPEACH ALL WHO BREAK THIER OATHS OF OFFICE
those who voted for IRAQ "war"
those who voted for the bailouts
those who voted for TARP
those who vote for Gov't run healthcare
Wow, i can see the courseload now...101 Manipulating the Media
(a pun)...... Obviously both have astue political minds, or were just plain lucky in the times they served.
What's to study? Just take the lowest common denominator, a complete lack of scruples, disinformation, misinformation, greed, self-interest honed to a dagger edge and that's your political communications center. Its interesting that these two are considered to be a "success" and they did not even graduate from college. That should tell you all you need to know about what it takes to "succeed" in the business of politics.
Watch your back David,Steve was tudored by the biggest back stabbing scumbag in Politics,"the Turd Blossom".
Sure hope the Liberals can tolerate a Republican setting foot on campus without having any major emotional herorrhaging.
Whaaaaaat?? The man partially responsible for putting together what was bipartisanly touted as the the best run presidential campaign EVER, did not graduate from college? Wow!! Genius, when truly present, cannot be denied! Kudos to both of them for getting back into school and finishing up what they started, and doing something of service for their soon to be alma mater.
And then there's Sarah.....................idiocy is hard to hide too!
I hope the speech is televised, Plouffe, not Schmidt.
both idiots...
What? They are not college graduates! What did they do, go there to avoid the draft or something?
