WASHINGTON (CNN) - Former President George W. Bush has a new speaking gig.

Bush will be featured as the "special guest speaker" at an October 26 "Get Motivated!" business seminar in Fort Worth, Texas, according to an announcement on the organization's Web site.

Tamara Lowe, the Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of Get Motivated Seminars, Inc., said in a phone interview that the former president will appear live and in person at the upcoming event. Lowe estimated that Bush will speak for roughly 20 minutes. Lowe also said that the company has all the necessary safety precautions in place to host a former president.

Bush's former Secretary of State Colin Powell and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani are set to join Bush at the October 26 event.

The former president is also scheduled to participate in another "Get Motivated!" seminar in San Antonio, Texas on December 2, according to the company's Web site.

"For a limited time only," the Web site says, tickets are available to the October and December events for $4.95 per person or $19 for a group.

CNN is awaiting confirmation from a representative of the former president about the scheduled appearances at the seminars.

$4.95 to see a former President of the United States speak about getting motivated. Bush will probably wake up at noon.

Yeh I just found out I have to go this 'Get Motivated' seminar thingy as a 'teambuilding event' at work here in Jax, FL on Nov 2.. well the only people I really want to see are Zig Ziglar, Colin Powell, Steve Forbes. Those would be my faves out of that group, but either way I have to go so guess I'll get excited about it. Although Mr. Bush will not be at ours, I definitely would NOT need to hear him speak. He's done enough damage to this country to really want to hear what he has to say @ this point???! What would be the purpose?? unless I really like punishment!! lol 🙂

When former President Bush took office our economy was financially in the black, we had a budget surplus, When he left our debt was over 11 trillion in the red. (That's 11,000,000,000,000) Every business he was ever a part of went in the hole. He was divider and not a uniter. What could he possibly offer to motivate us?

Are you kidding me? I don't think there is enough security in this country available for Bush to go speak at anything ever again.

Not that he would have anything intelligent to say anyway.

Whether you agree with his politics or not, President Bush tried to do what was right. I don't feel the same way about Obama. I feel that he has an ideology that he wants to push, regardless of its affects on the ordinary US citizen.

Would I pay $4.95 to hear George W. Bush speak? Sure. (But not $49.50.) He's not much of a speaker, but he is the former President of the United States!

GWB ... just relax... even Matt Foley ( Chris Farley's character ) would have more insight and interest to motivate than you ever will ...stay in Texas .. and chill...

I would pay much more than $4.95 to hear George W Bush. The fact that you have that as a poll in light of all the other news going on in the world is a sample of why your station is doing so poorly in the ratings. Keep up the good work.

What does it say about the man? The best (only?) job he can get is working as a huckster in a public environment where the entry fee is about equal to the price of a Happy Meal...
Even Sarah Palin, the crazy as a bedbug "Right" wing darling of the Born Again Tea Baggers gets better, International gigs, for REAL money.
How much must the world hate him?
Could he get a real job? Did anyone buy his book?

Will people actually go to see him (and be polite)?

I hope G.W.Bush is getting $4.95 for his speaking fee, that sounds fair.

Surely, they can't be serious! The guy who couldn't find oil in Texas? every company he owned had to be bailed out by friends or poppy?

An ivy league education and he couldn't deliver the simplest of speaches. Allowed the worst attack on American soil. Started and bungled two wars. Took more vacation than any two other presidents combined. Had zero curiosity (becaues he knew it all). Zero effort towards self improvement.

What on the lord's green earth is he going to motivate anybody to do?

Get motivated? Yeah, right! His lies have got us in another Vietnam. We finally got the son of a bush out of office. The man caused enough trouble and grief for the country. . . . sending us into another (almost) depression. What is he trying to do? Finish us off? The man needs to go into recluse. He's done enough damage to our country. Hasn't he learned his lesson yet? Dude . . . stay out of sight. Glad you're gone and glad you're not coming back. Hopefully there won't be another worst-rated president like you in office. Go into hiding AND STAY THERE! That way, you won't be spending our money on your security. I'm not anti-republican, but I'm definatlely anit-bush. Good thing the prices are so cheap . . . most folks can't afford it right not because of him.

Seriously??? This man is directly responsible for the start of economic collapse . Anyone attending this has wasted their money, just how Bush wasted American tax dollars.

After eight years of scaring us with bogus terror alerts, violating our rights with illegal wiretaps, and violating his SWORN OATH to uphold and defend the Constitution by ordering torture in direct violation of US treaties and law, George W Bush finally and unquestionably motivated this nation to repudiate both his party and his political philosophy.
That being said, there is NO amount of money that you could pay me to sit and listen to a single word he has to say, with the possible exception of the phrase "I'm sorry".

  20. Wow

Are you serious? You ruined our lives. Your presidency marked the end of prosperity for millions of Americans, do you really think a douche like you can actually motivate us?

What would motivate us would be if you left the country for good. Go to Iraq so they can throw shoes on you.

    Motivated? To do what?

Run some businesses and a baseball team into the ground?

Start a war with a country that never attacked us?

Mispronounce a lot of words and not care?

Alienate the overwhelming majority of Americans?
