Did Schwarzenegger say f**k you to legislature?

ALT TEXT

Did Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger mean to hide a message in this note?

(CNN) - Was Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's message to state lawmakers unhappy - or obscene?

That's the current debate in California after the governor sent a letter directed to "Members of the California State Assembly" that appeared to have a subtle but pointed message hidden within the text.

The seven-line note in which the California Republican blasts the legislature for not advancing his administration's proposals on a host of issues appears innocuous enough at first glance.

But upon closer examination, the first letter of every line collectively spells 'f**k you'.

A spokesman for Schwarzenegger said the governor had no intent of hiding the message within his note, calling it a mere "coincidence."

–CNN's Carey Bodenheimer contributed to this story.

I'd be saying it too. My state's legislature has just been awful, and I'm a liberal saying this. Good for you, sir.

Please let this man run for President.

We've already established that you don't need U.S.-issued credentials to become President. Why not just open the doors to every great leader.

I'd love to hear what Governor Schwarzenegger would have to say to Harry and Nancy.

Was it really necessary to use this headline, CNN? I doubt that Webster would have agreed to put that word in his dictionary!! Is this how far we have really come in America?????? Disgusting!!!!!!!!!

Hard to believe intentional, but it is poetic. Well said governer even if you did not intend it.

It is true that California is messed up. A lot of it has to do with its huge deficit. (which, while the biggest in the country, actually is rather average as a percentage of its also huge economy) A lot of that deficit comes from the fact that the Federal government is raping California with taxes, returning only 8 dollars of federal service for every 10 dollars of tax California sends them. In turn corrupt southern states get excessive federal subsidies and yet STILL can't balance their budget!

Once again he shows his true colors as a Repub – typical childish behavior because he can't get his toys. Wah...

LMAO – that is just great! But I am sure not what he intended though I think Arnie's letter sums up voter sentiment to lawmakers. Deal with REAL issues and stop wasting our time and money.

I hope so. California's legislature is designed to do nothing unless a single political party has an absolute majority. Time to change the state constitution.

Haha, if that was done on purpose it would just make me like Arnold Schwarzenegger even more.

Sounds like the legislature should stop fussing over non-issues and work with the governor to fix some real problems!

Arnold should say FYou to the Democrats in the Calfornia Congress and Senate.

They have blown the budget and all they do is spend more and tax more.

It is time to make serious cuts.

Stop spending money that you dont have California.
Too many illegals and too many feel good programs. Make the cuts.

It was no mistake and no coincidence. An aide obviously did it. Schwarzenegger has neither the time nor interest to do this, nor does he really have the mental faculties to think something like this up.
