Did Schwarzenegger say f**k you to legislature?

ALT TEXT

Did Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger mean to hide a message in this note?

(CNN) - Was Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's message to state lawmakers unhappy - or obscene?

That's the current debate in California after the governor sent a letter directed to "Members of the California State Assembly" that appeared to have a subtle but pointed message hidden within the text.

The seven-line note in which the California Republican blasts the legislature for not advancing his administration's proposals on a host of issues appears innocuous enough at first glance.

But upon closer examination, the first letter of every line collectively spells 'f**k you'.

A spokesman for Schwarzenegger said the governor had no intent of hiding the message within his note, calling it a mere "coincidence."

–CNN's Carey Bodenheimer contributed to this story.

Well, I'm now a Californian too and I'm with Arnold 100%. Our politicians need to pull their heads out of their asses and fix this state now.

What does that middle N stand for again in CNN? It certainly isn't News as this and many of your stories hardly qualify as news. This is the kind of thing I might expect to see in People Magazine.

too bad the idiot who has all this time on his or her hands, to attempt to find a story where there is none; but, rather help the administration in Washington find the Freddie Mac Report that all Americans can read and decide for themselves if this administration is going their job..

Good thing the Deep-Throat-crack-journalism special forces there at CNN are good at word search puzzles.

Maybe soon we'll get the 'What's missing from this picture?' puzzles like Highlights magazine instead of the political ticker.

Seriously, who spent the time to actually look at the first letter of every line to figure this out? Way too much time on someone's hands...

Are you serious? Come on, CNN. This is like that "I see Jesus on a slice of bread" nonsense. Slow news day, huh?

I read the note before reading about the "secret" message. What struck me is the use of the word "unnecessary." Especially in the second reference, it seemed like an odd choice of words. Because of that, I think it was intentional.

Coincidence most likely. It is such a beautiful state too bad he has not been able to stop the liberal legislators from ruining any chance of it ever recovering financially. Its just one more example in many of what total Democratic party rule does to a state finacially.

By the way, to all of you who didn't actually read CNN's report below the copy of the letter and don't seem to understand the point of this:

"But upon closer examination, the first letter of every line collectively spells 'f**k you'."

I would totally agree with him if he said those words. There are times when that word is needed in order to get things done. Politicians are eager to take money from anyone, so long as it's for re-election. They are not elected to word on behalf of "the people" Sometimes we need to tell them all to go "F" themselves for good measure.

Who in the world has the kind of time to scrutinze a message for that kind of hidden script?

OK–I have no doubt that Schwarzenegger didn't know this was in here. BUT, odds are some smarta$$ staffer wrote the final memo for him thinking nobody would notice. Kind of funny, but I bet some 25 year old loses a job over it.
