Did Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger mean to hide a message in this note?
(CNN) - Was Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's message to state lawmakers unhappy - or obscene?
That's the current debate in California after the governor sent a letter directed to "Members of the California State Assembly" that appeared to have a subtle but pointed message hidden within the text.
The seven-line note in which the California Republican blasts the legislature for not advancing his administration's proposals on a host of issues appears innocuous enough at first glance.
But upon closer examination, the first letter of every line collectively spells 'f**k you'.
A spokesman for Schwarzenegger said the governor had no intent of hiding the message within his note, calling it a mere "coincidence."
–CNN's Carey Bodenheimer contributed to this story.
Way to go Arnold!!!
In a world today where millions of people starve and many more die in the face of senseless violence, is it really important that Gov. Schwarzenagger wrote a letter with the subliminal F-Bomb in it? Do you, writers of CNN think this is news? It appears to me that the governor is trying to address real issues, while the media wants to address stupid stuff like this. I think it's time for this country to grow up and actually do something to make our plant a better place to live. If this is really is the greatest country on Earth, we better start acting like it.
I think it's a coincidence but it's appropriate in light of way the state legislature's been behaving for the past 3 years. Sometimes that kind of language perks the ears up 😉
Good for you, Governor.
Given the wording (why did he pick "overwhelmingly" and "unnecessary"), I definitely think this was intentional. Clever.
The first draft was addressed to lib dems.
Good for Arnie. He could have cleaned up California if it wasn't for all the beyond liberal legislators there.
HATS OFF to Arnold.
If he could only be president of this great nation of ours.
Very clever. Well done!
For heavens sake there isn't anything more to this than what the media is pushing. Understand it takes skill and some cleverness to make this happen. Chances are the Terminator didn't see this nor did the person who wrote it. Know that it doesn't take a lot of brain power to Write something like this.
You all that don't live in California be thankful that you don't have a to put up with this crap. Otherwise who cares. Understand the meaning behind this post and think, "really who does care about this letter".
I speak on behalf of all Californians when I say "thank you governor". Our state legislators are such sellouts to corporate interests that nothing gets done unless it gets a thumbs up from them first. I think every American should browbeat our politicians, they deserve it, and it's our duty to tell them.
who cares!!! i agree with the governor and his letter 100%. if it happens to spell F&** Y*& then so be it. something needs to get these politicians attention
hahahaha!!! I hope he meant to do this, the Ca legislature is certainly deserving...
You Go Arnold !!! If not he should say it
As any person of normal math education will tell you, the probability of this 'coincidence' is truly negligible.
Indeed we have a (at least) 7 letter "sentence", assuming (for simplicity) the probability of every letter being 1/26 we have:
(1/26)^(7) ~ 10^(-10)
On average, Arnold would need to write about 10 billion letters to get so 'lucky'. In reality, he surely wrote less than 10,000 letters in his lifetime.
Thus, the chances of a 'coincidence' are smaller than ONE IN A MILLION 🙂
I hope he did – the CA legislature deserves it!!!
Pretty sure The Terminator himself didn't write this. I'm sure it was just one of his bored lackeys.
Still – pretty brilliant. Not worth getting fired over, but brilliant. 🙂
*High Five* Arnold!
I like it, good for you Arnie.
Too f'n funny!!!! Can't wait till the networks get a hold of this and blow it all out of proportion. The PC cops will have a field day.
you have to be a complete idiot to think that's an accident. so many morons in denial.
sure this is bad form for a governor. but he's an actor after all. it's not like we found arnie at a MENSA meeting. you get what you pay for.
What is really surprising is that the liberals in California think they don't deserve to be told this cryptic message!
Very Good.
Very Good.
These are the Right Word for Califonia Legislators.
These Legislators of California are Ball Shut.
These Legislators of California are Impotent, Spineless, Rascals.
Well Done Mr. Governor. Show them your Muscle Power, these "Girly Men".
Go Arnold! Run for President!
If that is what he said, they certainly deserve it.
It spells it out, except for the first to lines of the note. Was this spotted by the same people who took the Abbey Road cover as proof that Paul was dead?
