Lieberman will campaign for Republicans in 2010

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/03/12/art.getty.lieberman.jpg caption="Lieberman says he will campaign for Republicans in 2010."](CNN) - Days after drawing anger from liberal Democrats for opposing a public option to the Senate health care bill, Sen. Joe Lieberman is adding fuel to the fire, telling an interviewer it's likely he'll campaign for some Republicans in next year's midterm elections.

"I probably will support some Republican candidates for Congress or Senate in the election in 2010. I'm going to call them as I see them," Lieberman told ABC News in an interview published Friday.

Supporting Republicans is nothing new for Lieberman of course: the Democrat-turned-independent senator from Connecticut was a constant fixture on campaign trail on behalf of Republican John McCain's presidential bid.

He also supported Maine Sen. Susan Collins and New York Rep. Peter King last year over the Democratic Party candidates in those races.

Senate Democrats had threatened to revoke Lieberman's powerful Homeland Security Committee chairmanship after the 2008, election but ultimately decided to let him retain the post.

Lieberman, who lost a Democratic primary race in 2006 but ultimately won the general election as an independent candidate, also told ABC it is "an open question" whether he will again seek the Democratic nomination in 2012.

Each time I hear the name Lieberman, I cringe to think that I voted for Gore/Lieberman! And that this man, who is a traitor to his party, could have been in such a position of power!

Lieberman is the poster boy for hypocrites! You can't say one thing, and do another....... You can't campaign on certain VALUES, and then do the opposite!

Lieberman is a turn-coat, a traitor, to his Party and the state of Connecticut!

Remove him from any position of power – make him a grunt in the senate. DO IT NOW.

He's playing his own little games for himself. He IS NOT working for this country.

They need to revoke Lieberman's position on the Homeland Security Committee. It is plain and simple b.s. that Lieberman is allowed to be so unpredictable without any consequences. I hope he pisses off enough of his liberal constituents (many who still voted for him) that he doesn't win in 2012.

What an angry, hateful little man Joe Lieberman is. It's time to defeat him no matter what the next time he runs. He's no Democrat.

It's time for Democrats to remove the LIAR Lieberman from the Democratic caucus and take away his committee chairmanship on Homeland Security and remove him from all committees that directyl affect Americans.

Who is Liebernan- last year he was 100% for insurance reform with a full publc option under Medicare. 82% of his constiuents in CT are FOR healthcare reform and a full public option and suddenly he had become a typical clueless out-of-touch Republican who does not listen to Americans but sits in Washington collecting large sums of money from the Insurance Industry. He has gotten more than $1M from there so far this year.

Who is Lieberman serving? Not the People but the greedy, ammoral insurance industry who are buying his NO vote. I hope the money was worth it because he will never be elected to anything again. He is a liar and a traitor to the People!

It's sad that someone thinks Joe Lieberman is still relevant enough to be newsworthy. He started campaigning for Republicans the night of his sad VP "debate" with Dick Cheney in 2000.

after what we have seen in the last 10 months, who could blame joe for helping elect repubs. workers need help; small business needs help; seniors need help; our troops in afganistan need help, education needs help; our states need help: our roads and bridges need help; our health care system needs help -– AND WHO HAS GOTTEN HELP SO FAR? BIG BANKS – BIG AUTO AND WALL STREET. however, we have "SAVED" over 600,000 jobs. I thought the stimulus was to CREATE jobs! How is the calculations done in determining how you SAVE a job?

We now know who he really is. That is what is also baffling me. To think that we supported this jerk in the presidential election in 2000 is mind-boggling.

But the Good Lord knows why He did not let the Gore-Lieberman ticket win in 2000. We are now seeing why. The Democrats better learn their lesson and dump this Judas Ischariot!!!

I wish Lieberman would stop pretending he's still a Democrat. He has demonstrated too many times over the past few years that he is only interested in what it takes to stay in power.

He gives Jews a bad name. I don't like him, don't trust him and the same goes for whatever or whomever he endorses. The good people of Connecticut got a real stinker when they elected this man outside of the two-party system. I hope they have a recall and throw the bum out!

Let's see, he is in the pocket of the insurance companies, amongst his biggest donors are big banks, he supports unnecessary wars and he will not get re-elected. Sounds like a Republican to me.

Senator Lieberman knows that the Democratic Party is the hateful, socialistic and raciest party. He has come to the right side in which the Republican Party cares for ALL AMERICANS no matter who they are.
