Obama called the latest jobs report 'sobering.'

(CNN) - President Obama called the latest jobs report indicating the unemployment rate has jumped to 10.2 percent "sobering," and pledged Friday to "not rest until all Americans who want work can find work."

"I just signed into law a bill that will help grow our economy, save and create new jobs and provide relief to struggling families and businesses," Obama said in the White House Rose Garden.

"The need for such a measure was made clear by the jobs report that we received this morning. Although we lost fewer jobs than we did last month, our unemployment rate climbed to over 10 percent, a sobering number that underscores the economic challenges that lie ahead," he also said. The economy is a concern! And the President is concerned too! He will stay that way until every one that can work has work! Contrary to what all the GOP “experts” are sounding off about, the Bush administration showed that they have no idea about the economy except for pushing it to the brink and filling their pockets. They also do not know anything about “fiscal restrained”. The just hid the gigantic sums they spend, not even putting them into the budget. If that is not lying! Now they are screaming about the future of kids…. I do not even want to imagine what the economy would look like had McCain made it into the White House! NO jobs, NO healthcare bill, No new Afghanistan concept…NO, NO, NO…

Sobering – is the all he has to say about the mess he has created? This country cannot take another 3 years of Jimmy Carter #2. 2012 cannot come soon enough. Obama has never worked a real job a day in his life, how could he possibly understand the needs of small businesses? He doesn't plain and simple. Unions and community organizing are all this junior senator can relate to. Next time people need to cast their ballot on substance, not a great teleprompter speaker, who is nothing more than an empty suit.

The Obama stimulus bill was supposed to make sure unemployment didn't hit eight percent. Right on the mark, he was-unemployment isn't eight percent.

Banks are being told to lend by Congress, and not to lend by their regulators, so they don't lend. Businesses are petrified about what is coming out of Washington that will drive up labor costs, so they don't hire. Consumers are losing jobs and hearing about things that will drive up taxes and consumer costs, so they don't spend.

So, how's that hope thing working out for you?

To those of you who will say it's President Obama's fault that they are unemployed and the deficit has increased, I ask two questions:

    1. Did you lose your job prior to this year? If so don't blame the guy who's held the position for 10 months but look a little further back to place blame.

    2. Which president started his administration with a balanced budget and projected surplusses for years only to leave office with a multi billion dollar deficit, 2 unpopular wars, an economy in a deep recession, and a financial sector on the verge of collapse?

    Nuff said!

The reason the unemployment rate is so high is because the Anti-Obama people of America would rather stay home and get a cheque from the same Government they hate so much. It's all a plot. These people don't want to work. All they care about is bringing Obama down by any means neccessary.

Okay I am so sick and tired of people MIS-quoting the POTUS. Get it right or don't flipplin comment on CNN articles anymore.
The president said back August, that although the stimulus would help save and create jobs that unemployment would still RISE!!!. Things are going to get worse before they get better! He even suggested that unemployment would reach 10%. Seriously you REPUGS will stop at nothing. For people who are all about Country first, you have no respect for the man elected to run the Country.
And one last thing 89.8% of Americans are working and 600,000 jobs were created with the Stimulus. If we didn't have idiot conservative governors refusing to use the money in their state we wouldn't be looking at 10% unemployment. Think before you speak!

Sobering? Sobering? What happened to all that stimulus money? What happened to "employment will not rise above 8%." Liberals lie, liberals lied about the stimulus progam. Obama lies. Obama lied about the stimulus program. They are lying about Obamacare. Obama, one and done.

Why not throw a couple of trillion more borrowed dollars at it? Make unemployment benefits permanent, so no one will need to look for a job. For those who want to work for fun, raise the minimum wage to $30 per hour. That way we'll all be better off. Is this an accurate summation of the Democratic economic playbook?

Yeah – its a real mess that was left for him to clean up. Funny how its worked the last few times. A Bush leaves during an economic downturn, a Democrat comes in and has to clean up the mess. This one is a bit bigger than that in the early 90's and the jobless rate proves it. I hope it turns around sooner than later.

Please President Obama, some of us need the money from your unemployment extention now! I need it now! When can we expect the funds to go be accredited? I ran out of benefits in October and I am not in good financial shape however, I am so pleased that I may recieve funds for a short time longer. Thank you!

"I just signed into law a bill that will help grow our economy, save and create new jobs and provide relief to struggling families and businesses," Obama states. Holy s#%!, this man is so naive and ignorant of the real essentials to job growth– capital expansion and discretionary spending by consumers. How do those 2 essentials happen, Your Eminency Mr. Obama? They happen with tax cuts. All the false spending on "stimulus" could have been used to back tax cuts and the US would be climbing back to full employment. As it is, we'll be lucky to make it in time for His Excellency's re-election campaign. Expect real economic growth in 2012, however, but in the meantime, pick up your food stamps and don't cut places in the unemployment line.

Calls it sobering, hey when you get done with all the parties and flying / jet setting around the country on the tax payers money could you maybe sit down and listen to the news, I think who ever briefs you is sugar coating it. Probably would have helped if you had military experience but than again Bush didn't and look what he did for the country.

YOU knew the past administration through this country in to a world of dog do , and your apologizing and saying America was wrong. You knew all this before elections and now you run around saying but the Bush's did this and that. Thats like kids saying he did this and she said that. Trust me the hole WORLD knows what Bush did.

How about you follow through with all your campaign promise's or were they lies that others told you to say so that you could get the votes and than once in office, you decided or your entourage decided that hey we're here, never mind what was said on the campaign trail. We'll get around to it sooner or later.

Unbelievable, next year republicans are going to take over, its going to happen
