Palin to keep low-profile on Wisconsin trip

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption="Palin is keeping a low profile on her trip to Wisconsin Friday."](CNN) - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is set to deliver remarks at a Wisconsin Right to Life event Friday evening, one of the few speeches the former Republican vice presidential nominee will have given since she resigned the governorship last summer.

But Palin appears to be doing her best to keep a low profile on this trip: no press will be allowed into the Milwaukee auditorium where she will speak and those who have paid the $30 admittance fee are unable to carry in cell phones, cameras, laptops, or recording devices of any kind.

Wisconsin Democratic Party Chairman Mike Tate told the Wisconsin Radio Network he finds all these restrictions "bizarre."

"You know, for someone who claims to be a rogue and isn't afraid of what other people think it really is sort of hypocritical to not let the media, the press cover your event."

Meanwhile Wisconsin Republican Party Chairman Reince Priebus said he's excited Palin is coming to his state, but stressed the party has nothing to do with this event or its limitations.

Palin's speech comes a day after a new national poll suggests the former Alaska governor may face some obstacles should she decide to run for the White House. According to the new Gallup survey, only about one in three Americans would seriously consider casting their vote for her.

The speech also comes a week and half before Palin's highly-anticipated memoir "Going Rogue: An American Life" is released. The Alaska Republican will commence a national book tour soon after and sit down for high-profile interviews with Oprah Winfrey and Barbara Walters.

So Sarah Palin doesn't want the government to get between you and your doctor, unless you're a pregnant woman.

A democrat saying "it really is sort of hypocritical to not let the media, the press cover your event"? After what the White House did to Fox News? Seriously? Like Fox News or not, even rest of the press agreed it wasn't right.

Her telling the media that they are barred from her appearances, and that the people cannot have cell phones or cameras is kind of like the Leaders of Communist countries telling their people what they can and can not say or do or think or what they can believe in and what they can't.....If this woman every got into the WH this is just what she would do and that is take all our rights away.......controll the Media like Iran controlls their Media........she is more dangerous to this country than any Terrorist...........Really what it boils down to is she is afraid of the Main Stream media, she is afraid of facing their questions, knowing full well she can't answer them with logical answers.......if she can't face the Media of this country what would she do having to face the Leaders of the World and World Media.....LOSER AND QUITTER

Sarah Palin is a coward and only wants money. She can't stand the heat, which is really why she is not in the kitchen. She is a QUITTER! Any one that will quit will never be a winner.

She has a better chance of getting a seat on "The View" than she has at getting one in the White House. Have you ever REALLY listened to what she says? This is a scary woman folks. All of you ladies out there that like her Cupie doll face and "AW SHUCKS" demeanor remember one thing. If Sarah had her way you'd be back in the kitchen with ankle biters at your feet instead of advancing your carreers. That's Sarah's answer to the unemployment problem. How seriously do you think foreign leaders would take the United States with her sitting across the table relating one of her Alaskan frontier witticisms?
You had your fifteen minutes of fame Sarah. You should go back to Alaska now, it's darn near moose season.

What a laugh! She does not want anyone to have a device to capture the gaffs she will probably dish out! She does not have even a remote chance of ever becoming president of this great country. Some of the American people may be dumb, but that is a very, very small segment. The people know a looser when they see or hear one!

10.2 unemployment and all the Dems can do is bash Palin.

I know she's hot, but quit stalking her.

She never said she was running for anything.

Let me guess: No cameras, phones or recording devices at her book signings. This woman is a joke.

Why is CNN so obsessed with Sarah Palin? Every day there's an article about what she's doing? Cover the news please. You are always late to the party because your resources are spent following an obsession.

The libs keep calling her names. Their attempt to character bash, as usual. Sarah really gets their dander up, doesn't she.

"Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.. the former Republican presidential nominee...."

Presidential nominee? Anyone there a fact checker? Remember John McCain? Palin was the VICE presidential nominee.

Palin is stupid and evil. She represents the fascist far right conservative wing of the republican party. She and her handlers will not allow anyone to record anything she says or does because once her true beliefs become know she will be revealed as the AH she is.

So the guy thinks its bizarre. Wow!!!!!! I'm glad he told us that. I mean no one could have ever figured out Palin is bizarre without him telling us that. Hey Tate where were you last year at this time? Didn't palin show us how bizarre she was out campaigning?

1 in 3 people would vote for her! That is considered low! To me that suggests 33% of the people in this country would be comfortable with her in the White House. Look, my politics are probably more right leaning than left, but even I recognize she's a nit-wit who should have stayed behind the anchors desk reading a tele-prompter.

I genuinely think people in this country are getting progressively less intelligent with every passing year.

It is probably best we don't hear what she has to say. I am sure we won't be deprived of any wisdom...

Isolating herelf in a bubble, shutting out scrutiny, just like GW. I'm sure she, like the extremist conservatives who support her, would prefer to govern by fiat on behalf of a few, rather than by reflecting the values of American populace as a whole.

No matter what she does, it's labled as bizarre, weird, different, unusual. No doubt that if she didn't have any media limits, she would be criticized for being a glutton for attention, using the pro-life movement to push her agenda. She just can't win with the liberals so she doesn't bother. Way to go Sarah. Just do things as you see fit.

If she really wants to keep a low profile, she should move to Point Barrow and stay there!

Your article here referes to Ms. Palin as the "the former Republican presidential nominee ." You people in the news business need to get your facts straight. I don't recall Sarah Palin having run for president.

Uh oh, two of the most hated words in any liberal's vocabulary. Let the paranoid bashing and hate mongering commence!
Face it guys, no matter how much you guys try to demonize this woman and try to diminish her relevance, she's not going away any time soon.

She's interviewing with Barbara Walters?! Hahaha. She will get crushed in that one. So she claims to be "Rogue" and "Mavericky" but hides from the media (at this even) and also refuses to visit BIG cites during her book tour. Hmm, hey Right Wing Nuts – how can you possibly want her for President? Someone who hides from half of America, turns her back and won't listen to people who disagree with her. Everything would be HER way or the highway. And you think WE are scare of HER. She seems to be the one scared. LOL
