Palin: 'I will forever question' Rev. Wright strategy

Palin's book will be released Tuesday.

Palin's book will be released Tuesday.

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Sarah Palin's new memoir, "Going Rogue," contains plenty of second-guessing about the way John McCain's presidential campaign was conducted.

But Palin writes that the campaign's biggest mistake may have been not making a greater issue out of Barack Obama's former pastor, Jeremiah Wright.

"I was told not to discuss Obama's pastor of twenty years, Jeremiah 'God Damn America' Wright," Palin writes in the book. "I will forever question the campaign for prohibiting discussion of such associations. All the more since these telltale signs of Obama's views, carefully concealed with centrist campaign-speak, have now been brought into light by his appointments and actions in office."

Though much of the book is devoted to re-hashing the internal squabbles that took place within the McCain campaign, it's clear Palin does not hold Obama in high regard.

Looking back at the first presidential debate in Oxford, Mississippi, Palin writes that Obama won - but only because reporters were smitten with the Democrat. Nine out of 10 reporters, to be specific.

"The debate went on as planned, and John did great," Palin writes. "The postgame analysis in the media, though, was that the coolheaded Obama had won the night, displaying a firm grasp of the facts, while John, they tried to convince voters, had seemed irritable and condescending. Granted, 90 percent of the newspeople covering the debate were liberal."

When do you guys stop talking about this idiot. It is an insult and degrading for CNN to west its air time reporting what an irrational moron says and thinks.

I think that all the facts in this particular story seem to be accurate to me! Obama is a radical like Wright. Wright hates America and "GD"s our great country. Obama falls right in line and he has apologizes to the world for the wrongs he believes America has perpetrated against them. Well Obama does not speak for me when he did his apologist tour! I also agree that McCain held his own in that debate and there was no clear winner though you would not know that based on the liberal media including newspapers!! Speaking of debates, where is that scalpel Obama discussed in the debate that he was going to use when cutting out earmarks and waste in bills????? Seems to me that he is more like a drunken sailor on a spending binge rather than a finely skilled scalpel operator!!!

CNN's infatuation with Sarah Palin is disgusting. Most of the stories on this ticker are about her!! I'm not visiting this site anymore.

  6. You're so right, Sarah!

It was this kind of farce propagated by the liberal media during the primaries and campaign - that turned me away from the Democrat Party forever!

And that's exactly why Palin shouldn't be allowed near another campaign. She has nothing of substance to offer. Only superficial, irrelevant, frequently dishonest fear-mongering and smearing of her opponents. None of those qualities is what I look for in a leader.

The Palin haters have their hands full this week. She is everywhere and I'm loving it. Her fresh, honest and upbeat tone are what we need now.

Yes, I'm sure future GOP candidates will take campaign advice from Palin, a person who didn't even understand or even know the previous president's policies, and she couldn't even hold onto the governorship of one of our least populated states. She's a loser and a quitter!

It is tiring to read that reporters were smitten with President Obama. Those that liked him at the time saw his intelligence being demonstrated. Ms. Palin has to look at her own performance and stop blaming everyone but herself. She has only Sarah Palin to blame. The reporters did a balanced job but that is useless air to those who won't give him a chance.

Gee if McCain had run his campain the way Sarah wanted him to he would have probably been the only candidate in history to come up with zero votes....

Whether it is Palin or anyone else, the level of outright hatred many here have is truly disheartening. No one seems to be able to disagree without insulting and attacking those on the other side. It is particularly true with Sarah Palin.

Seems to me that if you truly thought she was bad for the Republican Party you'd be praising her in hopes that she'd rise in the party, making her an easy election target. The venom spewed in here suggests that maybe there is more fear and concern than many would like to let on.

This woman is vindictive, vile, and vitriolic. She needs to just go away.

President Obama rightly ignored her in the campaign as she was not the Presidential candidate. Out of respect, however, he did ask that her children as well as his own be off limits. Certainly, he could have brought up Sarah's previous unconventional religious affiliations, along with her and her husband's assocation with a group working to secede her "wonderful Alaska" from the America she supposedly loves.

I'm sure he would have won that debate had it become an issue.

Sour grapes willl never make a good wine. Sarah can only manage an awful whine, which is shrill at best.

seriously? is she really this dense? she wants to drag Obama's religious affiliation into the what, the same can be done to her? she has been affiliated with a church that is by no means mainstream or 100% patriotic. this lady really has no clue.

Palin continues to play to the basest of the right wing base.

My prediction – Palin/Beck on the Teabagger Party ticket in 2012. They will draw 12% of the vote.

Sarah Palin is to CNN what Paris Hilton is to the National Enquirer.
When will CNN give it up? When will they realize people don't care about her anymore?

Everybody but CNN understands why they're losing viewers. Enough already.

I think I am as qualified as she is to make a point. And I will forever question the fact that McCain chose such an out and out airheaded nobody to be his running mate. She is the worst person in the world to have been selected.

What right does she have and what reasoning, since she is as stupid as crap to say anything about anybody. But then the dumber you are the more republicans and the "media" love you.

Peter Hamby (CNN): ". . . it's clear Palin does not hold Obama in high regard".
    – –
Duuhhh! Peter, what do you expect? It does not matter to Sarah Palin that President Obama is a Christian – – – just as hypocritical Palin claims to be. What matters to Redneck Palin is that Obama is everything good, wholesome, and respectful for which Sarah is not. Obama is a Harvard graduate with intelligence, wisdom, and compassion for all people. Sarah is a hateful arrogant airhead that cannot string together an ad-hoc conversation that includes a complex thought.
