Palin: 'I will forever question' Rev. Wright strategy

Palin's book will be released Tuesday.

Palin's book will be released Tuesday.

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Sarah Palin's new memoir, "Going Rogue," contains plenty of second-guessing about the way John McCain's presidential campaign was conducted.

But Palin writes that the campaign's biggest mistake may have been not making a greater issue out of Barack Obama's former pastor, Jeremiah Wright.

"I was told not to discuss Obama's pastor of twenty years, Jeremiah 'God Damn America' Wright," Palin writes in the book. "I will forever question the campaign for prohibiting discussion of such associations. All the more since these telltale signs of Obama's views, carefully concealed with centrist campaign-speak, have now been brought into light by his appointments and actions in office."

Though much of the book is devoted to re-hashing the internal squabbles that took place within the McCain campaign, it's clear Palin does not hold Obama in high regard.

Looking back at the first presidential debate in Oxford, Mississippi, Palin writes that Obama won - but only because reporters were smitten with the Democrat. Nine out of 10 reporters, to be specific.

"The debate went on as planned, and John did great," Palin writes. "The postgame analysis in the media, though, was that the coolheaded Obama had won the night, displaying a firm grasp of the facts, while John, they tried to convince voters, had seemed irritable and condescending. Granted, 90 percent of the newspeople covering the debate were liberal."

"Obama's views...have now been brought into light by his appointments and actions in office."

Any chance la Palin went into a bit more detail on what these supposed extremist views and actions have been? Or is she still unable to shrug off the unfortunate right-wing burden of dealing with a fantastical imagined world of a red Dem menace instead of the real one of compromise and rational debate?

And as I recall the post-debate discussions in the media, most tried to talk up McCain–it was the viewers' polls that proclaimed Obama the winner.

Sarah is going nowhere in politics unless she can offer more than boiler-plate rightist platitudes. The ability to think for oneself is vital.

It's amazing what an idiot this woman is, she's sickening. She's a quitter, and a liar, and she doesn't respect a man who not only became the 1st Black President in American history, but is a Constitutional lawyer, and helped poor people in Chicago, and has more intellect and logic in his pinkey than her whole body. SHE is the one who doesn't get respect, and it's coming out that she accused AP of lying about various things, but that has proven 100% INCORRECT. Her Couric interview was a disaster, not because of Couric nor McCain's campaign team, but because SHE was the one that opened her mouth !!! And put both feet in it !!!

    Sarah, get lost...

If someone tried very hard, they could not come up with a worse V.P. selection than John McCain did. This "so-called" Christian woman wants to blast Obama by accusing him of running around with terrorists and secretly setting up Rev. Wright's anti-American viewpoint in the White House. Yet, she presents herself as pure of heart and soul. Good Grief.

The bigger question is how did this white trash piece of human garbage ever get elected Governor of AK and will McCain ever admit what a huge blunder it was to choose her as his running mate?

President Obama beat her in a fight without having to take the low road as Sarah so often did. President Obama allowed that lipstick wearing pit-bull (her own description) to waddle in her own concoction of skunk puke, while Obama and Joe Biden glided into victory on that historic night 4-November-2008.

Diva McCheapshot is one of the most dangerous figures in America today, full of ideas with no intellect to back it up. The constitution would be under assault like it was under Darth Cheney. It never ceases to amaze me that 25% of the population think shes presidential material. Can you say "useful idiots?" Her 1950's Pollyannish approach to problems will undoubtedly fail. But not to worry; Republicans are experts in assigning blame for their created messes to Democrats. It's just amazing to me how 25% of the people eat and relish that slop handed out by the likes of Fox and Rush/Beck.

Sarah Palin is a beautiful woman; however, she does not have much substance between her ears. She needs to let the past go and live her life is peace and tranquility in Alaska with her beautiful children and her handsome husband. Her forte is NOT POLITICS NOR EVEN TALKING POLITICS.

    Dear CNN,

While I understand that consumers gorge themselves on this garbarge (Palin headlines), do you think you could act with a little restraint and not COMPLETELY saturate your website with Palin headlines? In doing so, you're taking your journalistic standards down the road on which Fox and MSNBC reside. Visiting your website and seeing Palin plastered everywhere makes me NOT want to come back.

There she goes again using those children as props... Why are her children there? Why are her 2 school-aged daughters not in school? Will she ever stop using her kids as props? She is raising them to be irresponsible flakes just like her

You were told not to make an issue of Rev. Wright because he wasn't really much of an issue. The man is a minister, not a policy maker. He carries no more weight (no pun intended) than Rush Limbaugh. Rush and the Good Rev. Wright really should team up for a joint radio show. The money these two could make on the haters on both sides. If you are going to run again, I would recommend that you stow the racism in your back pocket. It didn't help you the first time. America is growing up, unfortunately for you.

I am not impressed with the friends the current Obama administration has, you are judged by who you associate with.
Palin is clean, not tainted by those clowns in DC, at least not yet.

I will forever question the McCain campaign for trying to destroy America with by their appointment of such an unqualified nitwit – SP.

CNN has just plain given up on reporting the PARTY AFFILIATION BREAKDOWN of their polling because with every poll they question fewer and fewer republicans in order to get the final result they desire.

The latest joke is when their poll claims that only 20% of Americans are Republicans and then, instead of admitting their sample is BS, they express how horrible this is for Republicans that there are none of us left.

At the same time, Republicans destroy Democrats in two major elections, DOMINATE the NYTimes Bestseller List and FoxNews continues to dominate all other cable news media 2:1.

    That is one heck-of-a 20%!

(Meanwhile, both Rasmussen and Gallup state that there are about 33% Republicans.)

You have your own pastor issues, Palin. Have you seen the exorcist style, vodoo ceremony she participated in? That doesn't match any accredited Catholic or Protestant ceremony of which I am aware.

Whatever! John McCain won the debate? That's a joke. And as far as going after Obama using Wright – that was already done and the voters looked passed that. McCain figured correctly that he ought to run on his own merrit. It just wasn't enough.

That woman is such a delusional idiot. She talks as though the rest of us don't have access to the media and the internet and won't check the facts on what she's saying, b/c she lies nearly constantly. What a complete joke of a politician.

What scares me is that people actually believe and support this fraud.

WOW Sarah Palin just didn't get any of the memos. She didn't have what it took to be VP. She was a boost in the beginning to the campaign but she quickly became the dead weight that pulled John McCain's campaign down the tubes. This woman has blamed everyone in this country for the loss except the one she sees in the mirror.

Gee, I watched that debate too, and MCCain was condescending and irritable. So, she's sorry she didn't get to use Rev. Wright to attack Obama...well she sure made up for with the palling around with terrorist mantra. I"m glad they shut her up as much as she claims they did, I couldn't imagine the damage she might have done if they had really let her out of the kennel.

  22. Obama 2012!

PLEASE run for president in 2012, Sarah! LOL!

Your campaign will disgust and horrify me, and a lot of money will be wasted, but at least you'll help keep Republicans out of the White House another four years. You might very well be an unwitting force for good!

/Looking forward to Obama's second term as president

"Death Panels" Palin continues to claim victimization for her self. Yell liberal and all faults and incompetency are forgiven. What is becoming increasingly clear is that she is averse to telling the truth and is obsessed with staying in the limelight. She would probably not believe that Obama does not hold her in high regard.
