Cheney endorsing Hutchinson in Texas governor's race

The former vice president teams up with Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson at Houston's Hobby Airport Tuesday afternoon to officially endorse her bid for Texas governor.
Hutchinson is challenging two-term incumbent Rick Perry in next year's Republican Party primary. Perry has already won a re-election nod from the person who had hoped to succeed Cheney, Sarah Palin - last year's GOP vice presidential nominee.
While Cheney's favorable ratings among all Americans remain low, he's still well liked by conservative voters, who are crucial in a Republican primary battle.
Last week Hutchinson, who previously said she would resign her senate seat to run for governor, announced she will remain in the Senate as she seeks the gubernatorial nomination.

If Cheney is endorsing her....she's a loser.
Maybe she shouldn't pose for photos that she doesn't want seen. and if President Obama's daughters did something wrong like ahhh...let see get impregnated the press would be all over it. You are a very devisive woman Sarah. You hold views that the majority of this country don't have. I celebrate your right to have those opinions but not everyone is going to love you. Buck up.
Let me see now, Rick Perry, the current Governor of Texas, who actively and with glee, recently assisted in the execution and cover-up of an innocent man and Cheney giving his endorsement to Bible-thumping Hutchison; what a choice for the great people of Texas!
In related news, Satan has also thrown his support towards Hutchison. Both are well liked amongst conservative voters and the decendents of confederate soldiers not tried for treason.

Well, that wraps up any hope of me voting for her for anything, ever again. I was close to considering a Republican for a once, but this confirms the type of ilk she hangs out with. Never getting my vote.

If I were running for any office, an endorsement from Dick Cheney is not exactly the kind of endorsement I'd want. I wouldn't vote for anyone he endorses. She should say "thanks but no thanks."
I can remember when whe had a President and VP who loved and protected this country. Now we are left with two cowards who hate everything about america. They only made it as politicians which means you have to be able to lie and cheat, so they think that makes the goverment work.
Hutchison has shown her true colors by not leaving her Senate seat, while running for Governor. Can anyone say she is afraid? Hillary had no problem leaving to run for President. I am embarrased to be a Texan!

This is the equivilant of saying Hutchinson wants to win. Of course he endorsed her. This isn't news and who cares.
Given the former vice presidents past judgement, I would be hesitent to follow his recommendation.
Cheney opening his gob in the Texas governor's race heaps more disdain upon my state. Politically, it probably makes sense, because his endorsement could put Hutchison over the top by securing the most uber-whacko votes in the primary, and since Democrats can't get their act together to find another Ann Richards, the primary is the only bit that will matter.
Hutchison will be horrible, but who could be worse than Bush and Perry have been? Until Texans get a candidate they can get enthusiastic about, the rest of the world will rightly look at this state as a hotbed of regressive and feudalistic politics, fueled by dirty oil money.

No one cares. Is she a waterboarder also? Is she in to attacking countries that did not attack us?

Rick Perry and Sarah Palin align themselves together because they both talk about suceeding from the other states while our men and women are at war from the States of Texas and Alaska. That's not the leadership anyone needs or deserve.
