No media allowed at Palin speech in Missouri
[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/11/17/palinspeech.jpg caption="Palin is speaking in Missouri in December."]WASHINGTON (CNN) - Reporters won't be allowed to cover Sarah Palin's convocation speech at the College of the Ozarks in Missouri on December 2, according to the school.
Elizabeth Andrews, the college's communications director, called the decision "mutual."
"This was per the agreement that the College of the Ozarks had when had when we booked governor Palin for the convocation," she told CNN. "This didn't come from our end or theirs. It was a mutual consent kind of thing."
Andrews said the agreement is not unusual for the school, a Christian college in southern Missouri. She said past events with prominent speakers have also been closed to the press.
"This isn't the first time this has happened," she explained.
Free tickets were distributed when the appearance was first announced in November, but were quickly snatched up. Before the speech, Palin will be signing copies of "Going Rogue" in Springfield, Missouri, about an hour away from the college.

Media – this could be a good trend! Stop reporting on her. Go completely dark and watch her struggle for your attention! At least we the public who can care less about her won't have to constantly hear about her again until something real happens.

Someone asked a person who took 6 years and five colleges to get a degree to speak at a convocation? What's she going to say? Don't worry about a real education, you can get by on your looks and a few winks in the right place? Sheesh.

CNN why is this so important does Palin report on a daily basis multiple times. I did not buy her whiny book and I am disgusted with this woman and her ego problems; pure narcissistic. The way she is reported on a person would think she is already on the trail and if that happens I want to see how CNN reports.
Media is only suppose to cover "news worthy" events, right? So whats the big deal, nothing that has comes from Sara Palins mouth has ever been considered news worthy.

Talk about a media blitz,the bed wetters will be drooling at the mouth,no media,and a speech from Sarah Palin. Since they will have no one to spread inuendos and lies about they may decide to report the truth.That would be refreshing for a change would it not?

I find it stupefying that this woman who goes around tellign us how precious our freedoms are and how they are being eroded by this administration makes it a habit of barring the FREE PRESS from her numerous public appearances. And no one finds that at all odd. Hmm.
