Palin slams Senate health care vote

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/07/25/art.palinbye0725.cnn.jpg caption="Sarah Palin weighed in on the health care debate Friday night."]
WASHINGTON (CNN)– Revisiting some of her campaign trail talking points, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin weighed in on the Senate health care vote, criticizing the Democrats and Majority Leader Harry Reid for a lack of transparency.

"Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is pushing for yet another weekend vote (commonplace now for the party of "transparency") because he knows that the American people will be none too happy about the Democrats' proposal the longer they have to look it over," Palin wrote late Friday night in a posting on her Facebook page.

Republicans, who have expressed opposition to the Democrats' bill from the beginning, have threatened to read the full 2,074 page bill during Senate debate, claiming the more Americans hear about what is in the bill, the less they will like it.

Palin went on to talk about features in the bill: government spending, abortion, and help for special needs children.

"While this Saturday night vote might seem like a procedural matter, at the end of the day a vote against Senator Reid's motion is a vote against massive new government spending and a take-over of 1/6th of the U.S. economy; it's a vote against billions in tax increases and penalties; it's a vote against federal funding of abortion; and it's a vote against ignoring responsible tort reform," Palin wrote. "Among the provisions in this bill will be a $2,500 cap on Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs). The IRS allows families with special needs children to use FSAs to cover educational expenses. This new $2,500 cap will hit these families especially hard and cost them hundreds of dollars in new taxes every year."

Palin concluded by encouraging Americans to voice their opposition to their senators before the vote.
"The American people don't support this – we support the commonsense solutions that have been proposed, but totally ignored by (at this point) some out-of-control Washington politicians. Let's put a stop to Obamacare before it goes any further," she wrote.

Oh please... ENOUGH of this woman already. If she is complaining that the Democrats are voting for healthcare then they must be doing something right...

This woman does not have the support of but 25% of the Republican party. Not the nation, only their party. Please stop covering her like she has the support of 75% of all Americans.

Please, please, PLEASE Republican party, run Sarah as your candidate!! It's the best move you could possibly make for our country. She can represent everything Republicans stand for, talk eloquently and passionately about issues, give in depth interviews to Katie about what she reads now that she quit the people of Alaska, and in general be the voice of all those conservatives who just want to keep things the way they are. She is best person out there, and with her running, Democrats can just focus on making this country stronger, healthier, richer, and continue to undo the Bush legacy. Democrats- quit worrying about Sarah Who. Don't you see that her representing the Republican side is the best thing that can happen for this country?? No worries.

Yeah, let's do nothing on health care. Great idea, Sarah! Why don't we reroute the money that would be spent on uninsured Americans and use it to sponsor new ways of slaughtering defenseless animals instead?

Perhaps we could use some of that loot to arm some of our more maverick-y citizens with automatic weapons, drill for oil in Yellowstone and other national parks and buy you a few thousand more power suits? After all, we know you sweat an awful lot and it takes a heap o' money to keep that helmet of hair and trough of makeup in place.

Who needs health care, anyway? Your brilliant ideas are a beacon that will lead us into an enormous pit of moose dung and mascara!

I find it difficult to understand WHY CNN is giving so much print and
air time to news about Sarah Palin? I don't know why you are not
giving similar amounts of time to others who are pro health care
reform. You recently reported that the majority of people in this country do not feel she is qualified for President. Given the fact that she didn't finish out her term as governor of Alaska, that many untruths
have been found in her book, that she is comfortable demagoguing
"death panels", etc. I find it incomprehensible. It's tantamount to
dishing every opinion of Rush Limbaugh. If she is not seen as
"qualified" by so many, why do your give her free exposire???

Congress is living up to the transparency promise, only what we are seeing is how the process really works through coercin by tactics such as threats and bribes. It may sound contradictory, but what's transparent is the lack of transparency.

An ideal dissertation for a Psychiatrist or psychoanalyst Doctoral candidate would be to analyze, dissect and evaluate WHY Sarah Palin breeds so much HATE as evidence in all the comments above and below this one. Look at the incredible emotional reaction she creates and how she brings out the WORST in human behavior. The conservatives love her and the liberals hate her and BOTH will tell you in this blog topic THEY are right. What I never understood is that in particular the LEFT was the jury, judge and electioneer BEFORE they even knew anything about her. Then before she even spoke it became a free for all to see which reporter , which network, which comedy sitcom would embarrass he the most. SO, contrary to what venom people like HERE in this forum spread about her and her being inept or incompetent, THEY DON’T EVEN KNOW. Because it is NOT about any of that. Which is why it would be a great case study for Psychiatrist or psychoanalyst . And, maybe reveal the “dark” side of human behavior. Maybe based on fear , ignorance, or even deeper personal challenges or anxieties.

I mean just look at the ratio of comments allowed by CNN’s blog approvers, about 90 to 1 (Negative vs positive). Most likely they won’t post this because it is not damming against Palin, who they seem to ALSO be afraid of. (just listen to Anderson Cooper on any given night)

But, one thing is for sure, she is a polarizing figure that draws and intense hate and love form opposite sides of the aisle. Don’t believe me ? Just attend one of her public appearances. She draws Barack Obama size crowd and she NOT even a politician. Ok, all you left-wing hate squad, let your venom flow….

This woman is the epitomy of "stupidity". Evidently "Sarah" has never
had a problem with health care provided "freely" for her whole family1

Sarah, and her followers do not know what they are doing by driving
the middle class further in the hole.

My family always had health care and Never had anything to worry about because we are all hard, hard workers. So I thought we had
nothing to worry about!!!! Thanks to the Democrats who pointed it all out. How the Health Care companies "run" our nation with their GREED! And how we only "thought" we were "covered" by health care
UNLESS we get sick and our employer fires us because we have
    "an illness"!

AND those people standing in line for her books, "Father, forgive,
them, for they know not what they are doing!!!!""""""""

And the "evangelical" PRAY FOR OBAMA" stickers. The meaning behind them is SICK!!!!! and "chock full of trickery to the Americans!!
I bet "SARAH" loves the sticker! Does she have one on her care yet!!!!!

WE BETTER GET A PUBLIC OPTION OR OUR KIDS AND OURSELVES ARE SUNK-or, for a better term, ROYALLY SKREWED!

Clearly none of you loons has read it. You wouldn't dare - it might open up a tiny little window in your bigoted pea-brain! You prefer spouting the other stuff from the other end - how "impressive" you are!
