[cnn-photo-caption image= caption="resident Barack Obama will travel to Copenhagen, Denmark next month."]Washington (CNN) - President Barack Obama will travel to Copenhagen, Denmark December 9 to attend a global conference on climate change, a senior administration official told CNN Wednesday.

The president is also scheduled to be in nearby Oslo, Norway on December 10 to receive the Nobel Peace Prize.

Oh I can't wait to read the comments up here from the right. I definitely know Bonehead Boehner is going to say something slick out of his mouth about this summit.

For what? Have we not determined already that we do not have validated information in which to base intelligent decisions off of? Hello? Is anyone awake at the wheel here?

  3. Amazing

Obama just loves to fly all over on the tax payers buck. Doesn't he know we are broke, or doesn't he care. This climate change fairy tale is going to cost a fortune............and we don't have two nickels to rub together. Next will come another new tax from Pelosi and company, to be added to the cap and tax, Botax, war tax, health care end to the tax and spend from liberals.

  4. I thought Bush said this was pseudo science

now all you blindly followed Bush into his twisting of science into his policy of 'follow on the scientists that agree with me'

we continue to pay for what Herbert Walker should of done, which was an abortion with 'W', would have saved the nation a lot of pain

    On another note:
I saw a in depth report on torture and Rumsfeld last night... Rumsfeld needs to go to prison, he wilfully sidestepped the law and tortured those criminals at Gitmo

The Gitmo prisoners derve to die, but Rumsfeld has put our soldiers in harms way with his maverick approach to which laws he deems he needed to follow, if the rest of the world follows our lead as put forward by 'W' and Rumsfeld, any progress by the Geneva convention towards a more humane world is gone

President Obama, I know that you have the economy to deal with, including a major health-care problem. You also have an Afganistan issue to deal with. I am glad though that you are doing all in your executive power to help us though. Climate change is the biggest national security/world security threat that we have faced and continue to face. President Obama cannot do this alone, it is going to take all of us using healthier alternatives that does not harm the enviroment, which gives us life. I also believe it is time for us to become energy independent. We have relied on foreign oil for too long. Just imagine how much money will be coming to us from our own produced energy. The average person uses $1000 dollars worth of energy a day, times that by 308 million if we become energy indepedent. Times that by a year. We could pay off our debt within 70 years. The process though of becoming energy independent is going to take a long while, but if we plant the seeds right now, it can and will be done.

How ironic – leaving an enormous carbon footprint on his way to a climate change conference. Typical "do as I say, not as I do" mentality from this administration.

What they really need to change is the climate in Washington.

Too many toxic emissions coming from that place.

But, but, but... The climate isn't changing any more. That was last decade.

Or maybe Obama's going to do something sensible for the first time in his administration and tell all the eco-nuts to can the hysterics and go get a life.

BHO needs to spend some time at home. He is flitting around all over the world, mostly because he is still a big rock star out of the US. We have fantastic video conferencing equipment now. He could set up in the WH video room and it would be just like he was there in person. Heck, to make his ego stick out Gibbs could pipe in loud roaring crowd noise for him. We have pressing matters here in our own boarders. BHO needs to start taking some of them seriously. Things here are critical.

I wonder if the recently hacked Climate Research Unit's emails will have any affect on the discussions that take place at the upcoming climate-change summit.

You can bet the empty suit will make promises that will cause the spending of more money that we don't have, as our two faced president lectures us on the precarious position of our economy. Look at how what he says does not match what he does and you will see the real Barry.

    President Obama,

Keep pressing the AMERICAN agenda and WORLD issues. By the time the COMMON AMERICAN catches really what is happening you would have proactively addressed the issues.

POLITICs is TOO REACTIONARY, therefore we end up getting after thought ACTIONs from MONDAY MORNING QUARTERBACKs with inadequate knowledge.
8 years of TACTICs oppose to STRATEGY has BLIND SIDED AMERICA.

There is a time for GUT and another time for MEASURED actions. The last 8 years it has been PURELY GUT actions, now it is time for LEVERAGING MEASURED and GUT actions.

The momentum will catch up.....keep us ahead of business as usual.

Wow! Another flight to Copenhagen. Hopefully the results are better at this one. However, I'm anticipating more apologizing for the big, bad, horrible country we have been. Higher taxes still to come to pay for our abuse of the world!

Does this guy ever stay in the country? And everyone was so outraged when G.W. spent time in Texas. Heck, B.O. doesn't even stay in the country. I guess we have the money to sent B.O. all around the country. Old Nancy is crying about the war costing a Trillion over 10 years when they spent a Trillion in B.O.'s fist month. I'm so sick of these stupid politicians. quit taxing me so much!!!!!!
