Unlike the extreme conservative flag waving sunshine patriots in the GOP who supported Bush blindly, progressives will not give Obama a free ride if his war policies are seen detrimental to this country. Hopefully, his careful deliberation on Afghanistan will produce positive results.

Now is not the time for the GOP to hammer Obama on his Afghanistan decision. This would be going over the edge in confirming their "Just say not to everything" stance, since they have previously supported the concept of not bailing out of Afghanistan. Will be interesting to see if they can show some semblance of bi-partisanship on this important security issue

It has been a common problem since the Revolutionary war and the subsequent one's after that our political leaders of this nation have not fully backed and supported the men and the women who answer the call to defend our freedoms that most times we take for granted. You need to remember nothing in this world is free.

Now our President is dawdling in his decision while our young men and women are in harms way dying or being wounded. I believe that he needed to look at the options but he has taken to long and is grandstanding.

I hope the President remind people with "small brains & short memories" that Al Queda (along with Taliban logistical support) launched its attack from Afghanistan on the U.S.. And although Bush-II did the correct thing by going after the killers, he screwed up royally when he allowed Cheney to redirect limited U.S. resources to Iraq for WMDs that were never there.

Now, 8-years later, in spite of valiant and honorable effort by U.S. troops, Al Queda and the Taliban have expanded and are still kicking; leaving the "Obama-Biden-Clinton-Gates" leadership team to finish the job.

Just because Bush-Cheney team screwed up by redirecting the fight from Afghanistan to Iraq, and chasing WMDs that were never in Iraq, , , , , does not mean the job was finished in Afghanistan. Al Queda is more determined to hurt the U.S. and Bin Laden is still out there plotting to kill U.S. citizens.

Cheney left a mess that forces the "Obama-Biden-Clinton-Gates" leadership team to finish the job "Bush-Cheney-Rove" should have finished when it had the chance.

May GOD Bless the "Obama-Biden-Clinton-Gates" Leadership Team.
May GOD Bless the United States of America.

We must pray for U.S. leadership since "America's Pastor" (that is hypocrites Billy Graham and Franklin Graham) have stopped praying for the nation's Commander-in-Chief because he happens to be Black.

This war is never going to end! As long as our so-called leaders are getting rich selling our so-called millitary weapons, why would it? While we the American people lose there sons and daughters and take on an endless debt. These defense contractor get paid in full with our tax money, even if U.S gov dosn't have it yet. Does this not seem like the altamate example of a conflict of interest? Wake up people! The millitary makes up it's own enemy's today to give their partnered corporation more money. I thought Obams was going to end this crap! Lossing hope fast...

So does this mean Obama still has not decided? Or has he decided a long time ago and is just stalling the anouncement until health care reform is passed? Either way he is letting the troops down.

I really doubt that Boehner will give up a day at the golf course to go to the meeting. Since the republicans have promised to do everything to make Obama fail, he should do the opposite of what they suggest.
