White House crashers named in 16 civil suits

Washington (CNN) - The Virginia couple accused of crashing President Obama's first White House state dinner on Tuesday are named in at least 16 different civil suits in Fauquier County, sometimes as plaintiffs, sometimes as defendants.

A trawl through court records on Thursday revealed a more complete picture of Tareq and Michaele Salahi, who have left an extensive paper trail in federal bankruptcy and state court filings.

The couple was spotted rubbing elbows with the likes of Vice President Joe Biden and Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel at Tuesday's dinner, but the Secret Service says they were not invited.

A Secret Service checkpoint "did not follow proper procedures" to determine if the two were on the guest list, said Edwin M. Donovan, a Secret Service special agent, in a statement.

I'd like to remind everyone posting here who thinks this couple breaching security proves that our country is not safe under the Obama Administration:

9/11 happened while GW Bush was president.

    Why? Two big reasons:

    1. The Bush Administration refused to listen to the Clinton transition team's warnings about the danger of al Qaeda.

    2. Bush ignored the August 6, 2001 Presidential Daily Briefing entitled, "Al Qaeda Determined to Attack the U.S. Using Airplanes."

To paraphrase a quote from Michelle Obama, and relate it to the president: "If he cannot secure his own house, how can he secure our country from the white house"????????
(Originally it was a nasty comment on Hilary regarding Bill's doing.... but what goes around comes around, got it Ma Belle!?)

Since when did President Obama say terrorists don't exist in our country? When did President Obama say there are no threats to our country?

You posters need to stop listening to Beck and Limbaugh and start thinking for yourselves!

Am sure some potential terrorists now want to get hold of them to find out how they did it. Copycats with real trouble in their intent.

I pledge never to refer annoying publicity seeker by their real names. They will be only be referred to White House Gala Dinner crashers or Balloon boy family members or American Idol S&M guy. By doing this it takes away that these people crave so badly to become a household name.

Did they both kill anyone? If no, LEAVE them alone. It's kind of nice to see a regular citizen show up and be James Bond sometimes. Good for them.

Contrary to Hollywood hype, the US Secret Service routinely operates in a very heavy handed manner. The public disclosure on the threats against a siting president going up some 300-400% are likely accurate, given the Christian wing-nuts and Republican Tea-Baggers. Suggestions that the US Secret Service is not in hyper-vigilant mode is simply not accurate.

While the Public Secretary of the President is likely being told to look for another job, I'm very skeptical in regards to blaming the Secret Service for dropping the ball on admitting this couple. Perhaps it's simply a ploy in their attempts to get some dedicated and armed Christian wing-nuts to try crashing the next public appearance by President Obama.

Why do I use the derogatory term, 'Christian wing-nuts'? Christian organizations have begun selling thousands of teddy-bears and bumper stickers with bible verses which call upon their 'god' to murder President Obama and make First Lady Michelle Obama a widow.
