Democrat: 'Ask Tiger, not me'

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption="Approached by reporters Thursday afternoon, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid invoked the name of embattled golfer Tiger Woods."]
Washington (CNN) – Wait a minute: Don't ask me, ask Tiger!

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nevada, invoked the embattled golfer's name Thursday afternoon in an effort to sidestep questions when a group of reporters approached ready to pepper him about the latest developments regarding Afghanistan and health care reform.

"Get the answers from Tiger Woods," Reid, with his tongue firmly planted in his cheek, said even before reporters could ask him a question.

When an aide warned Reid that his quip would "end up on the CNN Web site," the smiling majority leader repeated his previous directive.

"Ask Tiger, not me," Reid said as he walked away from the closed-door briefing he had just received on Afghanistan.

Oh my God is this news? This is just toooooooooo STUPID for words.

The media is truly sad if they are claiming this as news.

The media seems much more obsessed with Tiger Woods than actual real news and issues, so why shouldn't Reid throw it back it their faces at least once? I don't care much for Reid, but that's a good one, Senator.

Low class. Answer the questions, HARRY. And even if you can't, then at least show a little gravitas out of respect for our soldiers. The war in Afghanistan is nothing to joke about. Can't wait to vote you out (and yes, *I CAN*).

This type of attitude shows us that Reid knows he's out in 2010...and rightfully so, you traitor to the American way.

Big surprise here, the democrats don't take anything seriously. They just want to spend tax dollars and buy favors. Remember, if you're a Democrat, you are responsible for Reid, Pelosi and Obama.

10% unemployment, thanks Dems! Thanks for the trillion dollar stimulus waste. Because you passed such a ridiculous spending bill, that 10% unemployment rate will linger. And it makdes me mad!

How did this person ever get elected? And what qualities made him suited for Majority Leader. A real embarrassment!

Is it because he had something else to talk about that he refused questions on Afghanistan? I saw a jobs billboard in the back ground...did he have anything to say on that?

Is Reid really as stupid as he acts?

What does Tiger Woods have to do with Afghanistan and Obama "Care"?

Or is Harry just another inbred Nevada rich stupid hick?

com'on Harry .. "ask Tiger .. " is a really stupid response to important questions, even for you. (Yes I am a democrat) but you're making me cringe with embarrassment. Is this your idea of of how to behave like a leader of the current dominant political party? Just not amusing at all.

Drivers and congressmen/women over the age of 65 should have to take a mandantory test to make sure they aren't too looney tunes to be running a vehicle or a country.

How totally disgusting! Tiger Woods has had a very bad week, but he doesn't deserve to have the majority leader of the U.S. Senate pile on even more! Reid is an elected official. He owes the American people answers to their questions especially about corrupt programs that will cost us all trillions upon trillions like Obamacare. And if Afghanistan the lives of American soldiers are at stake? So why the smarmy shot at Tiger Woods?

A labotomy performed on Leader Reid would be an improvement in his moral and mental capacity. Why in heaven and hell do the good people of Nevada keep voting for this putz ?

This makes zero sense. It's a pitiful attempt to avoid answering the questions. As a Democrat, I'm sick of Leader Reid's lack of leadership. Senate Democrats need to ditch this guy and find themselves a real leader.

Reid is a wimpish little creep!

American people are sick and tired of his elitist attitude and left-wing agenda. Hopefully he will be parking cars in Reno a year from now after his certain re-election defeat in Nevada next November.

What a pompous thing to say. That is a really bad way to dodge answering questions, what Tiger did is his business, do your job and answer the questions you are asked Mr. Reid.

That was a very childish, immature and off-the-mark for someone who is at the highest level in the US Senate, the Senate Majority leader.

If he is trying to make the analogy that no one can get an answer out of Tiger, therefore you are not going to get one out of me. What a cheap shot.
