WHYNOT
Why did the Whitehouse NOT invite the US Chamber of Commerce? It represents small business everywhere.

Henry Miller, Libertarian
Payroll is the single greatest expense of most companies and most companies these days just aren't going to take the risk of hiring a lot of new people when they can't be sure how hard they're going to be hammered by the taxes the Dems are planning to hit them with for their health care idiocy. Companies aren't going to hire when they can't be sure how much the trillions of dollars the Dems are already wasting on the "stimulus" foolishness and an insane budget is going to hurt the economy.
If Obama wants to reduce unemployment, he seriously needs to get government out of the way and off the backs of the American people. American productivity is finite–the more soaked up and wasted by government, the less there is to stimulate demand for companies to grow to meet.

Obama has stolen a trillion dollars from the people of this country and is trying to take more...what he says he stands for and what he does are polar opposites.

Well, OBOZO FLUNKS.
His Stimulus bill was a JOKE. Do you hear me, a JOKE.
It was so full of usless PORK and worthless liberal initiatives that it amounted to ZERO, ZERO.
I especially love the areas where it created jobs at over $ 300K per job.
Obozo the Clown needs to go.

ROMNEY!
He should be judged on jobs. His spending habits are destroying the stability of our country–and he did it to 'save or create jobs'.
Since if failed and has created long term consequences, he should be held responsible. Obama and our democratic Congress need to be voted out of office and replaced with people that understand the economy.
Obama also has been playiing ideological politics from the day he was elected. His motto: what is good for the Obamas.

The "ONLY" reason that it appears the number of those unemployed has decreased a little-–is because a lot of these people have taken "TEMPORARY" work due to the holidays.
Once the holidays are over, the unemployed numbers will rise AGAIN-maybe even more.
Most financial analysists are saying that 2010 is going to be worse-in regard to unemployment and the economy--NOT better.
And, unless the Democrats can perform miracles by the 2010 elections--they are going to get clobbered at the polls--which is what all current, national polls are now saying.

If that's the case, add another F to his scorecard. About the only thing he hasn't failed in is destroying the U.S. and submitting to terrorists and despots.

Randolph Carter, I'm no expert but...
I can hear the neoclowns whining now: "the government doesn't create jobs, only the private sector does that." I'll be sure to relay this startling piece of information along to the firefighters, policemen, public school and university teachers and staff, the mailwoman, The guy at DMV. The DOT guy patching the potholes on our street, the park ranger, my sister who works for the IRS, The town librarian, our troops at home and abroad....... You get the idea. But let's thank the vaunted private sector for creating all of those wonderful part time, low paying service jobs at home while shifting manufacturing and technical work overseas. There's a reason the top 5% of US earners have seen their incomes increase by 150% in the last decade while real wages have stayed the same or fallen for the rest of us. Ain't unregulated global capitalism a beautiful thing? Have a nice day!

Not unexpected. This is what you get when you send a organizer to do a leaders job.
It would probably be worse if you didn't have the diehard "obummer is the chosen one" people out there that will support him not matter how much worse he is doing than any president prior. the guy really has no clue. Voting "present" really didn't prepare him for a job that requires decisions and leadership.
As I said before, thanks obummer for making Bush seem more like a leader with every passing day.

Lower gasoline to $1.00 and the economy will pick up. Invest heavily on green energy and stop giving $$ to tax cuts....
It's a big task and I am going to give him 8 years to fix the economy, since some of you voted for W, to really trash the economy down the toilet.
God bless us!! Now please Obama, get novel prize economist to help you out and stop relying around you, yourself and your recent economic team.

Obama has been a disaster when it comes to creating jobs.
A new report today says the number of jobs lost last week was the lowest in 15 months. The White House touts this as good news.
But what the numbers really mean is that things are getting worse slower than in previous months. But it is still getting worse not better. Those already unemployed are not finding work and each week more are added to the list of the unemployeed so unemployment keeps going up. The weekly number of jobs lost is getting smaller. But things won't be better until the weekly jobs number is a positive jobs created not lost. Right now the hole just keeps getting deeper, we are just not digging the hole as fast as we were in previous months.

Obama is doing good handling jobs. His cash for clunkers program last summer greatly increased automobile production in Japan.

Obama is doing fair on this front. I lost my job just prior to him coming into office. I now have a temp job with a promise to go permanent. So for me, he's doing a "fair" job now. Once I go permanent it will be a "very good" grade.

To obama, it's all you small greedy business owners who are at fault now. Never mind that the only thing obama ever ran was his mouth and doesn't have a clue how to run a business in the first place.

the only people that feel he is doing a good job when it comes to saving or creating jobs are the people who reside in govt subsidized housing and who collect food stamps, welfare checks and unemployment checks. "keep em dumb and dependent " thats the governments motto.
