Virginia welcomes Sarah Palin

Fairfax, Virginia (CNN)– "It feels like home!" That's what Sarah Palin remarked about the snow falling in Fairfax, Virginia - the latest stop on her book signing tour. Several hundred people waited patiently in line Saturday for a chance to meet the former Republican vice presidential candidate.

"It was absolutely worth it," said Billie Jo Melting of Hampton Roads, Virginia. "With Sarah Palin, it's all about family. She talks to the normal person," she said.

Palin's book "Going Rogue" is a best seller and supporters of the former Alaska governor said they did not want to miss the chance to meet her. "She's like Reagan in heels." That's how Chris Bradford of Manassas, Virginia views Palin. "We need somebody like her to get conservatism going again," he said.

Palin was accompanied by her husband Todd and her infant son Trig as she walked into BJ's Wholesale Club in Fairfax. Once inside, Palin signed copies of her book and posed for pictures with fans.

"She's got everything, said Ron Wolfe of Sterling, Virginia."She's just fantastic."

How's that saying go? "Home is where you hang your hat"!!!! So, Sara is attempting to find a "home" everwhere in the USA! Of course, in her very complicated mind, she is seeing the words WHITE HOUSE, written all over her brain matter!! Sure would be a good place to hang your hat, right Sara????????

The individual who says that only we Virginians want Sarah obviously has had his head in the sand. Gov. Palin apparently scares the heck out of the dissenting whiners!

It's always hilarious when I hear Republicans use Reagan and conservatism in the same sentence. He only tripled the national debt. Bush was suppose to be a conservative too. He doubled it. The only person since Carter who made a dent in reducing the national debt was Clinton, a DEMOCRAT.

To say that Palin is a conservative is a stretch too. She left her small town in debt to the tune of 20 million plus dollars.

If these people are your idea of "conservative", count me out.

When all of America struggles to stay employed, Sarah quits in order to sell a book she didn't write to a bunch of people who prefer beauty to intelligence. Thankfully, there aren't enough of them to elect a president... ha ha. Better luck next time.

    To commentor #10 –

You have to be joking, right? Sarah Palin is a coward, is weak, and is a chronic liar, has zero integrity, poise, or charm, is dumber than a box of water, and quit any leadership position she ever held. You sir or maam, are clearly insane.

It is widely credited to P. T. Barnum (of Ringly Bros. & Barnum & Bailey Circus fame) to have uttered the phrase "There's a sucker born every minute". Since Palin has learned to dump her scary unqualified for public service commitments in lieu of cashing in, I guess Barnum might describe her as "The Greatest Show on Earth". Nothing personal, but I'm relieved she's out of politics.

Sarah rocks. Let the true American run this country again. She is our only hope to balance the budget, get our jobs back and win the wars that we are currently engaged in and will be in the future. Go Sarah, lets take back America.

Sarah Palin is like Madonna. You either love her or hate her, but you do think about her which is all that matters.

I have nothing against Sarah Palin, I think she is a very charming Lady. But if that what the Republicans have for their nominee in 2012, against Obama, she might start writting another book "Going Broke".

Of course, missy felt right at home in Virginia, all the hillbillies showed up at BJ's with that single front tooth all polished and shining and they had even clipped the callouses on their knuckles.

They then listened with rapt attention as she shared her moose stew recipe, with acceptable substitutes such as possum and muskrat, and promised to attend the Sunday church social for the KKK rally in the church parking lot.

  19. Just stop already

I'm sorry, but Palin is a private citizen. Please tell me why CNN and the rest of the media insists on shoving this woman down people's throat. She should be home with her children, not dragging them across the country using them as props.

If her intention is to run for office how about in addition to this worship tour, she do some press conferences so that we can see how and if she thinks on her feet. It's already been shown that the face book posts are Krystol's and not hers.

How come CNN closed comments on Obama's lowering approval ratings after 5 comments but just LOVES to hear trash about Palin? You people ARE state run media of, for, and by Obama. Be REAL journalists.

    I just have one question.....?

Is it possible to hold John McCain responsible for Treason......?

And to her supporters, you people obviously live in the minority in OUR country.....

To be in love with a Image, and to totally ignore the substance of a shallow minded, un-intellectual childish behaving Egomaniac like Sarah Palin makes you people be in the 20% segment of American society.....

Even Republicans are embarrassed by this attention craving pathetic piece of hillbilly white trash....I'm white, and she gives us a bad name, especially bright intellectual women....

Someone please tell the Egomaniac known as Sarah Palin, that the 2008 election ended over a year ago.....!

To Liberals Fail:There are numerous reasons to admire Sarah Palin, her courage, her inner strength, her honesty, integrity, her poise, her charm, her knowledge about energy, her leadership ability.

Are you nuts? her courage? She quit as governor to take care of herself!

Inner Strength? She quit as governor to take care of herself !

Her Honesty? She quit as governor to take care of herself!

Her Integrity? She quit as governor to take care of herself!

Her Poise? She sounds like a betcha!

Her Charm? I have met her, she is charmless and dumb as a stone!

Her knowledge of energy? Go to Alaska and ask anyone on the street, she has no clue and lets the oil companies run over her.

Her Leadership abililty? She quit as governor to take care of herself! She lied to the people of Alaska and would turn her back on the US if it meant she could make another dollar...truly, what is wrong with you???
