Palin continues to blast climate change believers

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption="Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin continued to blast believers in climate change Friday."]
(CNN)– In a late night posting on her Twitter feed, Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin continued to blast climate change believers Friday, calling the talks in Copenhagen, Denmark a representation of man's "arrogance," for believing people have an impact on nature.

"Arrogant&Naive2say man overpwers nature," Palin tweeted.

"Earth saw clmate chnge4 ions;will cont 2 c chnges.R duty2responsbly devlop resorces4humankind/not pollute&destroy;but cant alter naturl chng," the former Republican vice presidential nominee wrote.

Palin's latest comments come after weeks of tangling over climate change with California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, former vice president Al Gore, and President Obama.

In an op-ed in the Washington Post, Palin urged the president to boycott the climate talks, calling his presence at the conference a "political move."

"The last thing America needs is misguided legislation that will raise taxes and cost jobs – particularly when the push for such legislation rests on agenda-driven science," Palin wrote. "Without trustworthy science and with so much at stake, Americans should be wary about what comes out of this politicized conference. The president should boycott Copenhagen."

When Schwarzenegger questioned Palin's stance on climate change, Palin quickly hit back saying the actor-turned-governor was acting "greener than thou."

And when former vice president Al Gore dubbed her a climate change "denier," Palin hit back at him too, accusing him of promoting "doomsday scenarios."

"Climate change is like gravity – a naturally occurring phenomenon that existed long before, and will exist long after, any governmental attempts to affect it," Palin wrote on her Facebook page.

During the vice presidential debate last year, Palin said she was for capping carbon emissions but did not elaborate on how she would do that.

Even if global warming and ocean acidification are not true, it's clear Palin doesn't know anything. People who don't know anything shouldn't have opinions. Other peole shouldn't listen to them either.

Is there anything that she doens't have an opinion on, I do remember during the debates, one of the questions asked, Joe answered, she didn't want to talk about that, she wanted to talk about something else, which meant she did know what to say. Why is she getting all this press. I'm dropping the newspaper. Just tired of hearing about her.

We'd all better hope like hell that climate change can be affected by human activity because, if not, we won't have any way to mitigate the destructive effects that are surely coming.

In case you are new to this here is how it works: You choose a scientific fact that you find too expensive , inconvenient or that just doesn't fit with your narrow veiw of the world. You take the name of that scientific fact and you put the word "controversial" before it and the word "theory" after it . And "VoilĂ " you have a sound bite worthy to be repeated. By this method idiot's like Palin have fostered :

    the Contrersial Evolution Theory.
    the Contrersial Global WarmingTheory.
    the Contrersial Round Theory.
    the Contrersial Gravity Theory.
Hey I kind of see why they like it here is one for us Boston fans

    the ContrersialYankee's Championship Theory.

Well nice try but a fact is a fact in science and sports. Congrats Yankees.

How about the Contrersial Undefeated Colts theory? Yeah I like that one. We csn hope any way.

ib: "If it's so real why are Obama and Gore still using their private jets like personnel toys?" While I have nothing to say about Gore (after all, he lost the 2000 election when SCOTUS decided to stop the Florida recount...making GWB the first president in history to win the election with the 2ND highest number of opular votes... he also stole the 2004 election, see Ohio and the election officials who were CONVICTED of fraud) so he could finish his daddy's war for oil with iraq (because Saddam refused to share his oil with the world) ...

Obama is president of the US, he has no need for a private jet.

A skeptic with Palin's doubtful intellect is the best friend global warming advocates could have. Sadly, the Bush years made the world safe for "faith-based science" and it will take us decades to get over that.

I can't believe Palin's followers still back her after she's repeatedly shown how dumb she is. A sixth grader should know the difference between "ions" and "eons." The letters "e" and "i" are far apart on the keyboard.

She doesn't understand the fundamentals of the problem. It's about the rapidity of the change, not just the absolute temperature numbers.

And "arrogance" is an effort to avoid talking about evidence and facts, since those are the bane of Palin's existence. There are many examples of human's changing nature. We've diverted rivers, created artificial lakes, drained lakes, hunted and fished species to extinction, produced acid rain, built artificial islands, deforested millions of acres, etc. To think humans can't negatively impact the environment is to be willfully ignorant.

    Palin is beyond stupid.

Can you believe she could run for President. Palin you need to look around you.

IT does not matter if humans are responsible, we need to do something to at least reduce the effects.

We can move all the millions that lose their land to water and put them in Alaska.

Hilarious! Does she honestly think humans have had no impact on the environment and climate? Has she no clue about deforestation?
I guess people don't make pollution, either?

@Southern Cousin; the topic of discussion here is Palin's comments on global warming, so what does Pelosi and Rangel have to do with this? Your lack of rational thought is pretty obvious if you can only resort to stupid and petty words like "libertards".

Ok, it seems like most of us are tiring of CNN's Palin coverage. It would seem obvious that either she IS not informed or she would like to appear to be uninformed.

Whatever is it, can someone pose some ideas on how we can seriously affect CNN to perhaps make them hear our voices and how we tire of her silly coverage. I'm sure most of us are at because we enjoy most of their coverage, and I'm sure there are those of us who make very strong arguments pro CNN's continued coverage of Palin (for instance, they may have no choice...). But, at least some of seem to think her being covered is detrimental to our great country, and I agree.

For those of us who actually want CNN to to limit its coverage of her silly remarks, what can we do to bring our hope to fruition? Perhaps organize a BOYCOTT of through a social media site like a Facebook...?

I would love to hear your ideas...

    Let's not just complain; let's force/encourage a change.

Personnel toys? Did you mean personal? And President Obama doesn't fly in a private jet, he flies in Air Force One. Unproven theory? Do you know anything about science? Gravity is a theory, not a fact. Theories are ways of trying to explain things that occur. There is no argument against the FACT that average temperatures are rising on the earth. There is no arguing that the ice caps aren't melting – they are.
Man has had a measurable impact on the earth – ever wonder why they don't allow above ground nuclear weapons tests anymore? Remember Chernobyl? To think that hundreds of years or doing something (buring coal, oil, etc) that had NEVER occurred before men evolved wouldn't impact the climate is simply ridiculous. Oh well.

Global Warming is made made. Man Made Up that is.

Al Gore invented it so he can sell Carbon Credits to people by making them feel guilty about using energy.

He then laughs all the way to the bank and hops on his private, gas guzzling, private jet to travel the world preaching about the ozone while his 20 room mansion leaves a huge carbon footprint.
