Palin continues to blast climate change believers

[cnn-photo-caption image= caption="Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin continued to blast believers in climate change Friday."]
(CNN)– In a late night posting on her Twitter feed, Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin continued to blast climate change believers Friday, calling the talks in Copenhagen, Denmark a representation of man's "arrogance," for believing people have an impact on nature.

"Arrogant&Naive2say man overpwers nature," Palin tweeted.

"Earth saw clmate chnge4 ions;will cont 2 c chnges.R duty2responsbly devlop resorces4humankind/not pollute&destroy;but cant alter naturl chng," the former Republican vice presidential nominee wrote.

Palin's latest comments come after weeks of tangling over climate change with California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, former vice president Al Gore, and President Obama.

In an op-ed in the Washington Post, Palin urged the president to boycott the climate talks, calling his presence at the conference a "political move."

"The last thing America needs is misguided legislation that will raise taxes and cost jobs – particularly when the push for such legislation rests on agenda-driven science," Palin wrote. "Without trustworthy science and with so much at stake, Americans should be wary about what comes out of this politicized conference. The president should boycott Copenhagen."

When Schwarzenegger questioned Palin's stance on climate change, Palin quickly hit back saying the actor-turned-governor was acting "greener than thou."

And when former vice president Al Gore dubbed her a climate change "denier," Palin hit back at him too, accusing him of promoting "doomsday scenarios."

"Climate change is like gravity – a naturally occurring phenomenon that existed long before, and will exist long after, any governmental attempts to affect it," Palin wrote on her Facebook page.

During the vice presidential debate last year, Palin said she was for capping carbon emissions but did not elaborate on how she would do that.

Of course this is from somebody who believes the Earth is 4000 years old.

Sarah, I disagree with you. And in case your advisors haven't been honest with you, you sound pretty stupid. If one steps on a bug, one has overpowered nature. If one uses a weed killer or rat poison, one has overpowered nature.

I will make a comment on what I think is an arrogant statement made by man: that God created man in his own image.

Climate change or global warming has really become a religion for some. Truefully, I don't know if the planet is warming or cooling. Does man has the capacity to influence this condition or if this is a natural cyclical trend caused by the sun? Wouldn't it be nice if there was a open debate instead of this screaming back and forth. I am for cleaning up the environment, pollution control and for energy independence, but I have a feeling that science has taken a back seat to political maneuvering.

To hear Palin comment on 'trustworthy science' makes my skin crawl. She has absolutely know idea what she is talking about.
The earth took humdreds of millions of years to create the oil and gas deposits, which man will have burned in a few centuries. The real Arrogant and Naive view is that mankind kind do this kind of action without any environmental consequence.

At least her comments are now so patently absurb that even her supporters will start to realise her total lack of credibility .....

Well, she does have multiple doctorates in meteorology and climate history. Wait, no... that's the scientists in Copenhagen. But still, she has that pulitzer for her mastery of the English language... oh, wait.... Well, she's still a fabulous mother who's taught her children how to avoid making devastating mistakes... Okay, so has she ever been successful at ANYTHING?

So whom does Sarah blame for the mercury levels in fish I wonder? Cannot be humans - that would be arrogant. Ditto with acid rain.

Does anyone really care what this lying opportunist says or thinks (if she actually DOES think)? I am amazed at the coverage this constant quitter receives. To me she has a personality disorder and might consider getting herself to someone who can assist with it.

Ha ha! I love watching all of you Palin haters suffer mental breakdowns! You HATE her like nothing you have hated in your life. Perhaps it is the demon inside of you screaming in fright.

It's also funny to watch you denigrate her intelligence when your IQ is somewhere between "box of rocks" and "fern plant".

Do you idiots REALLY think that humans have the ability to warm or cool the entire planet at our whim? Are you kidding? The earth is constantly cooling and warming ON ITS OWN. Do you think humans could have stopped the last "Ice Age"? What a joke! Some so-called experts back in the 70s were predicting DOOM for the earth because of the next Ice Age. Now, these same idiots are saying it's warming, while true scientists without an agenda have proven Algore to be a farce (once again). I mean, come on, AL GORE and OBAMA? This is your prophet and Messiah?

Keep posting every idiotic thought that wanders through the empty space between your ears whenever you see a Palin story. You HATE everything about her,' LOL

    Get used to it.

    Suck it up, cupcakes.

Seems a little hypocritical of Sarah "death panels" Palin to call Gore to task for promoting "doomsday scenarios". Please let her run for president in 2012, GOP, oh please! lol

Sarah Palin is a total buffoon. She has no idea what she is talking about. Global warming to her is her coffee is too hot. Her version of foreign policy is she can see Russia from her back yard. CNN needs to stop giving her so much coverage.

I cannot believe Republicans could ever consider her as a presidential candiate. Hopefully she will just go away.

People who've blasted the president for using the plane he has to use and the car he has to use as the president and the leader of the free world are a bunch of idiots. Should he be driven around in a SmartCar or something? Please shut up.

Moving along, Sarah Palin speaks out of her arse most of the time. And this is just Sarah pandering to the uneducated hicks and rednecks she seems to connect to so well. Idiocy tends to attract idiocy. I would hope that if she didn't have dreams of running for president as an independent or republican or whatever, she would actually be a much more reasonable, much more educated human being. Power thirst tends to turn even the most reasonable person in a blithering doofus.

I'm past the point of despising her, now I just pity how incredibly out of touch and malicious this woman thinks she has to be for people to like her.

As the evidence for rapid climate change has mounted, the argument of drones like Palin has shifted from "the climate isn't really changing" to "okay, so maybe it really is changing, but it can't be man-made, and NATURAL change is just completely fine and dandy." This is preposterous. If they really believe that climactic disruption is natural and hence inevitable, then why aren't they arguing passionately that it's time to start building dikes and levees around our coastal regions and retraining farmers in Nebraska for the coming date-palm-based economy? Why is doing nothing the only path they ever advocate?

These are not rhetorical questions; this really baffles me. I can only think of two possible explanations: One, that they really do think the End Days are upon us, and they just wanna drill-baby-drill a few extra bucks into their and their buddies pockets before that happens, presumably to throw a whoppin' apocalypse party just before they're sucked skyward.

And two, that they really are just as friggin' stupid as they sound.

My bet's on option 2. Any other guesses?

there is no other way to put it, Palin is an idiot! How could anyone, whether you believe in global warming or not thick that humans don't have an impact on Nature? Humans have been destroying and manipulating Nature for Millions of years. (oops I mean 6000 years) I don't have a problem with using Nature, but when it's done just in the name of greed then I have a problem. We are smart enough to live sustainably on this planet. We just have to find a way to cure immoral greed.

The only people who read her tweets, are the folks signed up at her Twitter site. Nobody is forcing anyone to go to Twitter and read her comments, and she certainly has no control over whether CNN publishes them.

It sure is amazing how you liberals get your panties in such a wad over one woman's Twitter site.

Ms Palin certainly has the right to speak up even if she is a dangerous combination of ambition and ignorance. The really sad and scary part is that she is apparently considered news worthy and a viable Republican candidate for 2012, meaning there are people who listen to and believes what she says and would cast their vote for her.

    What a twit.

What's naive and arrogant is to think that you can rape the earth without consequence. It's not a matter of "overpowering" nature. In the end she'll win alright, but she won't be gentle about it and we'll be paying the price for the arrogance of people like this bimbo.

I find it hypocritical that someone who professes to be Christian would be so nonchalant about how we're treating the creation God tasked us with stewarding.

That's right. How arrogant of us climate change believers to think that 6+ Billion people, their sewage, waste, trash, and pollution can have any effect on our environment. Far be it of us to even entertain the idea that our emissions from pur machines, pools, homes etc, our deforestation and plundering of the oceans resources has any thing to do with our environment. I used to think her just a funny half wit, but now I realize she truly is dangerous with her latent stupidity and arrogant ignorance. Those that would hold stock in this woman need to re-evaluate themselves and their education. Get educated people or God help us all.
