Christmastime at the White House

Bo, the Obama family dog, sits in the Diplomatic Reception Room of the White House in front of one of the 26 Christmas trees in the residence. 'Unfortunately, you don't get presents under all of them,' 11-year-old Malia Obama said Tuesday at Children's National Medical Center in Washington. Merry Christmas right back at you. Thank you for a world that will have fewer nuclear weapons, an economy growing again, finding a way out of at least one war (and God willing a second), healthcare for 10% of the Americans left behind, and a world just possibly going to be saved from the worst ravages of global warming. Not a bad Christmas at all in my household.

What a pleasure to open a link to a White House or Obama related story and not find a thrashing of nasty anti-everything Obama e-mails!
    Happy Holidays to everyone!

Merry Christmas to all! Thank you Mr. President for keeping a cool head in the face of incredible pressure and criticism and for keeping this nation on the path to recovery. Slow and steady wins the race. We've pulled back from the precipice and things ARE changing for the better. Thank you to our remarkable First Lady and beautiful Malia and Sasha for representing this nation with such warmth and charm. And thanks Bo for taking on the task of First Dog. God bless us everyone!

I can't help but feel sad for all the unemployed at Christmas time when I look at this picture. May God bless them and hopefully someday they can have a Christmas again like the Obama's will have in the White House.
