Obama family Christmas

The President and Mrs. Obama did not exchange gifts this year, according to White House spokesman Bill Burton, who did not give a reason for the decision.
Burton said the couple is focused instead on exchanging gifts with daughters Sasha and Malia as well as the President's half-sister Maya Soetoro-Ng and her family.
"For Christmas dinner, the First Family will be eating roast beef, potatoes and other dishes they traditionally eat on Christmas," Burton said.
As for the traditional family talent show they do every year, Burton said that will happen later in the trip that extends into early January.
I hope, the entire trip(including the Air force one and Security) to Hawaii is paid by president and not tax payers. If so, they can go to any place in the world and have a merry christmas

Nice to know that Mr. Obama can spend $4000.00 a night on a condo in Hawaii when 16 million of his fellow Americans have no job.

They shouldn't feel like they have to share their family time with the world. My husband and I don't exchange gifts either and haven't for years. We do buy, of course, for our kids. We just figure every day is a gift to each other and if there are things we want we get them anyway. No need to rush around and make ourselves crazy. i don't blame them – their lives are hectic enough without having to search around for gifts!
