Recent controversies overshadow Chris Dodd's career
(CNN) - Sen. Chris Dodd's announcement that he is retiring follows an illustrious career, but one that has recently been overshadowed by controversies, political woes and personal tragedies.
"I love my job as your senator. I always have, still do. However, this past year has raised some challenges that insisted I take stock of my life," the Democratic senator said in front of his Connecticut home Wednesday.
During this session of Congress, Dodd was at the center of what he called the "two most important issues of our time": health care and financial reform.

I think Dodd is confident he has done his best to ensure that the damage he's done is unrepairable now. Mission accomplished

The only people who are making some of the issues of the last couple of years more important than the decades of service he has given his country are Republicans. How dare they accuse him of financial misdealings when everyone knows VP Cheney and Haliburton made billions of dollars on contracts in Iraq. Every time you point your finger and critcize someone, there are three fingers pointing back at you. The Republicans seem to have conveniently forgotten that.
After playing a major role in the economic collapse of the US, the Government takeover of 1/6th of the economy, he has one more chance at destruction of the US with the cap and tax bill coming up. 2001 can't come fast enough.

Christopher Dodd is an opportunist, a liar and a thief who along with Barney Frank is largely responsible for the housing "bubble" by pressing for mortgages for "entitlement" recipients who had no way or means to pay those mortgages foisted upon then by Dodd, Frank and other Democrats pandering for vote from the "entitlement" class.....which is also why Lib/Dems are pushing for amnesty for ILLEGAL aliens....cheap votes. May all of these manipulating Democratic politicians be chased out of office and go straight to hell. Bring back "tar & feathers"..If it was good enough for the Colonists to keep politicians and scoundrels on the straight and narrow, it should work well today too !!!!!!!
Dodd is one of MANY corrupt, criminal Democrats who should be sent to the unemployment lines-–beginning with Obama, Pelosi, and Reid.
Based on recent national polls-–Harry Reid and Blanche Lincoln are going to lose their seats as well.

The best thing for America is to get rid of Dodd.. From the information about him, he should have been bounced in the last election......But wait!!!...Talk to anyone on the street and you find little to no respect for these polititian crooks of today .....Loop Holes......Financial scandal... and then we have the Secretary of the Treasury who is a crook....didn't pay his taxes and then you have Janet N....Says, "Everything went well"....Nearly lost a plane full of innocent American passengers.
I'm a retired state trooper and how can she be heading up the Dept of National Security......one who knows nothing about the security of the American people....just another political hack.... She should be removed from that office....Sorry to say that, there is little to no respect for these croonies that Obama has put in his cabinet....I'm a former WWII Vet spending nearly a year on Okinawa in 1945...Readied for the invasion of Japan and the bomb was dropped....
