McCain in new ad: Obama leading 'crusade to bankrupt America'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/12/01/art.obamamccaindeux1201.gi.jpg caption="John McCain says President Obama is leading a 'crusade to bankrupt America,' in a new radio ad."]Washington (CNN) - It's McCain vs. Obama, Round 2 in Sen. John McCain's new radio ads, the first of his 2010 re-election bid.

"President Obama is leading an extreme, left-wing crusade to bankrupt America," McCain says in one of the new radio ads. "I stand in his way every day. If I get a bruise or two knocking some sense into heads in Washington, so be it," the Arizona Republican also says in the ad.

The second radio ad references McCain's time as a POW during the Vietnam War, saying McCain continues to fight to this day. "John McCain is leading the fight against President Obama every day, standing tall and outspoken, helping Arizona families," an announcer says in the second ad.

"My lot in life has been to wage war against wrong," McCain intones in the second ad, "like today's massive spending at the worst possible time. Send me back to the Senate. We'll win that fight for Arizona."

"Character matters," an announcer says near the end of each ad, in a reference to McCain's reputation as a political maverick who stands on principle.

In an e-mail to his supporters, McCain seeks donations to help keep the new ads on air in Arizona.

McCain faces a possible primary challenge from former Arizona Rep. J. D. Hayworth. Hayworth, an outspoken foe of immigration reform measures championed by McCain, lost his bid for re-election to the House in 2006 and is now a radio talk show host in the state popular with conservative voters. Hayworth has yet to formally announce a bid to challenge McCain, but has hinted on his show at a possible challenge.

Memory John. Take your medication. It was your party that created the mess the country and world is in.

It was your party that destroyed American and global markets.

It was your party that created a world of terrorist.

It's your party screaming about how Obama handles terrorism when you were a dismal failure. And now you're all hiding under your beds and screaming like little girlies. Terrorists have the GOP right where they want them.

This poor man lost the presidential election but seems not to have realized it. He may disagree with the present administration–fair enough. That's part of the job. But this kind of doggerel is a pathetic. McCain is a shadow of his once honorable self.

McCain and Cheney both needs to keep their little opinions to themselves. where were they when they supported Bush idiotic agenda. Their administration is the ones who got us in this mess.

MaCain is an expert in parroting his own praises & patting himself on the back while trying to put down Obama.
He of course comes out wrong on all accounts. Senility (?) probably obscures his memory.
He & his cronies & his bosses are & will always remain responsible for the mess that we are in today. Getting us into Iraq, deceptions & lies all round, the Afghanistan mess by focusing deliberately on the wrong country. They bank rupted this country both of its treasure & morality & with the loss of precious lives. Losing America's hard earned esteem in the world, the leaders either ridiculed or scorned around the globe. The list of blunders could go on.
The Americans should rally around the current President in facing challenges & regaining our lost esteem. That's the call we have to heed in these times of difficulty.

Who is McCain kidding? The GOP lineage set up the scene for our economic disaster. We had eight years of unchecked/unresolved environmental, economic, health care abuse, war mongering, and housing industry damage. Let us not forget that 9/11 happened during President Bush's watch. Remember the shoe bomber? The house of cards began to fall BEFORE President Obama took office. The politicians on the right are getting more desperate each moment. Check out the historical records not the constant white noise of the GOP.

Two can play at this game:

Senator McCain is leading an extreme, right-wing crusade to kill Americans by making sure 50 million of them have to choose between health insurance and food. Senator McCain seems to think health insurance reform is too expense. How much is a human life worth to Senator McCain. Is $10,000 per person too expansive to pay for my life? How about $5,000? Surely, I must be worth at least $5,000?

Nice to see John McCain is concerned about our future. Where was he during the 12 years the Republican Party was in control of the house and congress during the Clinton and Bush years? Perhaps Sen. McCain cares more about what our government spends money on than how much. Clearly he is okay with the USA being the policeman of the world and spend our future in far away wars, and he doesn't seem to have a problem subsidizing corporate American offshoring our jobs. I think Sen. McCain sounds more like part of the problem than the solution. So much for the maverick politician, turns out he is just another vote the party line republican.

Borrow and spend for war is good, right? Helping Americans is wasteful, right? Economics is not the Senator's strongest suit, that's for sure. Look at the economic pain within your own state. He picked Palin and now once again he proves he learns nothing buy his mistakes. Retire. God help America!

Very sad to see what has become of John McCain. Funny how he wants to continue to vring up his war record – but ignore how he treated his wife when he got home.... President Obama was handed an unholy mess – a fiscal disaster & 2 wars. I am grateful HE is the one who will straightening out the mess – not JMcCain.

McCain has done NOTHING to help AZ!!!! The state has one of the worst records for job creation; a lousy public education system; and allows the destruction of its mountains for mining purposes for major corporations – who then use all our clean water to line their pockets with profits that they take outside of AZ. McCain has become the worst of the worst. He is the "ICK" in MAVERICK and I will never forgive him for giving us Sarah Palin!!!! Another idiot who believes that she has the "common sense" to become our next President. The only 'cents' she has is the money she is pocketing from all the fools who bought a book she didn't even write!

Where was McCain when Bush/Cheney were borrowing and spending us into an increase from $5 trillion deficit and budget surplus of nearly $123 million they inherited to a nearly $10 trillion deficit and 2 wars to continue to pay for!

Suddenly, after years of swallowing the Bush deficits, he's going to choke on spending that is required until we can end these wars.

Character matters? McCain, what do you know about character? McCain is not a maverick. He's just a difficult person to get along with. Today's massive spending? John, do you plan to stop sending supplies to the troops? weapons? equipment?

Tell us please, where do you plan to cut the spending? How about salaries, pensions, health care coverage for elected officials. How about that, John!

Sen McCain is a hypocrite. Where was his forceful march to economic security and stability during President Bush's years. Not once has he demanded to accountability for the spending on such programs like No Child Left Behind; Patriot Law; Both Wars in Afghanistan and Iraq; and the tax credits for the wealthy. His voice now is only self-serving to protect his re-election. I am ashamed to have him as my senator. He has forgotten that his role is to elevate the American people not support only the Republican party. Lastly, being captured by the enemy does not make him a hero nor a defender of the military which has lacked basic issues for years. This is not my opinion, but a fact from a recently retired 22 year Army service man.

Good old geezer, losee McCain, I can't wait to vote him out of office.
He always falls back on his military record, too bad he does not mention how many planes his ineptitude destroyed. How about the S&L scandals? Oh, forget about those. He is such a sore loser, I can only pray that he is defeated in his bid for re-election and he can take turns visiting his eight homes. What a bloody HYPOCRITE he is.

They did not pay for "NOTHING" They just added everthing to the deficit totalling over 11 trillion dollars! President Obama inherited a yearly deficit ove 1 trillion dollars! These repuglicans had the country almost eight years and almost caused a depression! President Obama inherited 2 Wars (Iraq and Afganistan, 2 nuclear threats, Wall Street, Banking, Mortgage, and Healthcare crisis! HOW IN GOD'S GREEN EARTH IS BANRUPTING AMERICA! He and his team brought our country back from the dead! I DO NOT TRUST THE PARTY OF "NO" WITH THIS COUNTRIES PROBLEMS!
