Obama to lay out 'warts' and say 'I'm responsible'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2010/images/01/07/art.obama01062.gi.jpg caption="President Obama will take direct responsibility for administration makes when he releases a new report on the December 25 terror incident."]Washington (CNN) - President Obama will take direct responsibility for administration mistakes when he releases a new report on the December 25 terror incident, according to a senior administration official familiar with the president's remarks.

But he is not planning to fire anyone for the foul-up, the official said.

"He will say, 'Here are the warts; I'm responsible,' " said the senior administration official, who requested anonymity because aides were not authorized to discuss the remarks before they're delivered by the president.

The official said the president believes that previous administrations would "play hide the ball" and not come clean with the American people when things go wrong, so he wants to be direct about what needs to be fixed, but the official said the president does not want this process to devolve into finger-pointing.

oh well i think i'll set my behind down........ for awhile. my wild accusations i guess don't make any sense. but the timing of all these radical happenings, and the attack dogs coming out in droves who's sole purpose is to takedown and soil this president's legacy........ starting w/ an ex VP and his daughter , to a women who can see russia and putin from her backyard, to a serpent behind a golden microphone, to the whole republican institution.......... our president , and commander and chief is going to take the beating on this too. timing and the acts of some sinister republicans are trying their best to take this man down..... by any means necessary.......... ol goat will just sit this one out while prez takes responsibility.

Of all the things he should take responsibility for, he chooses this. Sorry Mr. President, but this is a cop out. Take responsibility for the economy or the war or even dare I say health care.

  4. Manipulation

Let me just say that I'm a Republican who does not think highly of Obama's performance, but I have always wanted to like him personally. However, the cynical part of me always wondered if he was just a clever manipulator. Any unbiased individual should know that the terrorist near miss is one thing that he IS NOT reponsible for and should not be blamed for. And yet this is the time that he chooses to blame himself (and not Bush) for everything? That's about as sincere as Eddie Haskell asking your daughter out.

And that's what his do-do heads call leadership? There's one born every minute...

He wont expose the Cheney mole that allowed this to happen for fear that Cheney will call for a military takeover of our Country.

A president who takes responsibility for his actions.
A president who is trying to make America better for Americans.
A president who is trying to help the American people keep a roof over their heads.

I am SO glad President Obama is president! We finally have a president we can be proud of, one who is trying to do the job he was elected to do and NOT lining his own pockets with oil money.

Of course it is HIS fault!!! He doesn't take terrorism very important. It seems as though stealing from the working class to give to his lazy followers is more important. History has a way of repeating itself and that is what will happen!!! He has shown the world terrorists that we are vulnerable!!!

  8. Small Business Guy

Anyone who would believe anything that comes out of this guy's mouth is a fool. That guy is a walking hyperbole. What an overinflated ego. If someone were to stick a fork in him the whole planet would be at risk from the release of hot air.
