Palin to address alcohol industry event in Las Vegas

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/09/01/art.palinmoney.gi.jpg caption="Palin will speak to the Wine and Liquor Wholesalers of America in April."]Washington (CNN) - Las Vegas and alcohol probably aren't the first two things that come to mind at the mention of Sarah Palin, but the former vice presidential candidate is about to change that.

At least that's according to Craig Wolf, the president and CEO of the Wine and Liquor Wholesalers of America, who announced Tuesday that Palin will keynote the group's annual convention and and expo in Las Vegas in early April.

"Governor Palin is a great supporter of America's free enterprise system and understands that industries like the beverage alcohol industry play a key role in driving our national economy. We're proud and honored to welcome her as a speaker," Wolf said in a statement. "We expect she will share with the convention attendees her analysis of the current political environment and her vision for America's future."

The convention includes a "Wine and Spirits Tasting Competition," which, according to the press release, "secured a spot on the agenda after drawing overwhelming response and favorable feedback during its debut" last year.

An aide to Palin was not immediately available to confirm the WLWA appearance.

The Las Vegas stop comes a few days before Palin is scheduled to address the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans, a major gathering of GOP leaders that that in recent years has become an early proving ground for potential presidential candidates.

Here we go again............Sarah Palin and her wonderful family values. Where is her special needs child? Doesn't this woman realize her popularity has ONLY to do with her looks? Beauty eventually fades..........dumb goes on forever.

First of all, Failin Palin should NOT be referred to as "Governor Palin" since she resigned/quit/left office to puruse fleeting fame and her own fortune. Second, since this is a "Wine and Liquor" convention, what does her "analysis of the current political environment" have to to with the purpose of this convention? Will this give new meaning to "I came to serve" in her own "mind" (and I use THAT term loosely)? You betcha **wink wink**

"We expect she will share with the convention attendees her analysis of the current political environment and her vision for America's future."

If this was not so pathetic it would be funny. Palin does have an analytic bone in her body... how in the world can she provide a analysis of anything. It's been proven that she lies, she dumb as a doornob, she has horrible gammar, and voice sounds that fingernails grinding a chalk board. Come on white folks.... give it a rest. You should be tired of Pailn yourself. I thought I was going to read that she was going to a strip club in Vegas and work the pole. Now that I can believe!

Who cares? Why is this news? She has no understanding of the current political environment and what vision does she have for America's future. The only thing she can see is Russia from her front door!

I will need a drink if I sit and listen to her jibberish and I'll be able to see Russia from my porch also.

When does Palin have time to be a mom to her special-needs toddler? I guess she is making her priorities clear.

  16. Sick of the traitor quitter

To all of you who continue to rave about this woman I have three words . . . . . . . Alaska Independent Party. This is the organization the dude belonged to for seven years. He and his buddies, and by her own attendance the quitter, want to secede from the Union.
Is this really what you call a real American? Is this woman the person whom you want to emulate?
Remember that this was before one of your worst nightmares (not mine) made it to the WH in 2008.
Their hatred of the US and everything this country stands for has been documented.
Does this woman really deserve all the accolades? I think NOT!!!!!!!

Oh that religious holy woman...is this God's plan for her. Like all republicans they have to stick God in everything they do as if God really approved of THEM.

So – if you love to start wars.
If you don't mind killing people
If you don't mind torturing people
If you cut off funds for childrens food
If you let whole ethic groups drown because you are racist
If you let oil companies soak your citizens
If you move jobs overseas so the corporation cruds can make money
You are right on to the be the god the republicans are constantly touting.

But if you are compassion, love children, try to help the needy, abhor killing and starting wars, work for the good of the people you are the true recipants of the one real true God...and he doesn't have anything to do with republicans. He is just and holy.
