Palin to address alcohol industry event in Las Vegas

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/09/01/art.palinmoney.gi.jpg caption="Palin will speak to the Wine and Liquor Wholesalers of America in April."]Washington (CNN) - Las Vegas and alcohol probably aren't the first two things that come to mind at the mention of Sarah Palin, but the former vice presidential candidate is about to change that.

At least that's according to Craig Wolf, the president and CEO of the Wine and Liquor Wholesalers of America, who announced Tuesday that Palin will keynote the group's annual convention and and expo in Las Vegas in early April.

"Governor Palin is a great supporter of America's free enterprise system and understands that industries like the beverage alcohol industry play a key role in driving our national economy. We're proud and honored to welcome her as a speaker," Wolf said in a statement. "We expect she will share with the convention attendees her analysis of the current political environment and her vision for America's future."

The convention includes a "Wine and Spirits Tasting Competition," which, according to the press release, "secured a spot on the agenda after drawing overwhelming response and favorable feedback during its debut" last year.

An aide to Palin was not immediately available to confirm the WLWA appearance.

The Las Vegas stop comes a few days before Palin is scheduled to address the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans, a major gathering of GOP leaders that that in recent years has become an early proving ground for potential presidential candidates.

This woman has no ethics, just a hunger for fame and money- now she is pushing alcohol and Las Vegas rather than God and celibacy.

Perfect match for the liars and propagandists at Fox News-

Pay her enough and she'd talk to a Hooker's Convention, or a Cannibal Convention for that matter, sheesh what a shill!

What a bunch of horse manure. Palin couldn't even explain free enterprise, so how could she support it? Probably because someone told her it was a good thing. As far as her vision for the future: I wonder if she can see it from her house.

ROTFLMAO! *gasp* Somebody help me, here. CNN is having WAY too much fun with this one. Between the impossibly ironic headline and the phallic reference in the photo, I simply cannot breathe. Stop it...stop it...

Should be hard to tell whether she has had too many samples. She should replace Jay Leno, she is a natural comdian. Every time I see her I just start laughing before she even opens her mouth. George Bush wasn't the worst thing the Republicans have done.

Way to go, Sarah. Good luck in everything you pursue. You make the pitiful naysayers sick with your success but you represent the good in the down to earth, hardworking, honest American people, so go for it. We're rooting for you all the way.

Good God! Makes me want to go out, get drunk, kill a herbivore that has a fraction of my cranial capacity using my superior technology, then come back in to town and kick around some minorities before I go to Bible study. Just makes ones blood run swiftly.

Too bad none of it gets to her brain.

And now that the Facist News Network has joined hands with the Animal Planet Channel. . . . no wait . . . .getting nasty notes from the animals. They are insulted now. Sorry. I thought it was funny.

Do we have a Bovine Channel?

OMG-How CHRISTIAN of you! Oh, those family values hard at work... I'm sure it was probably alcohol that led to your teenage daughter getting knocked up. Sarah Palin gets the "Most Pathetic Excuse For A Human" award.

It is funny, when one of our reports from the Yukon mentioned that Sarah Palin was trailer trash she almost got beheaded. Where are the clothes that were going to be auctioned for charity? Why did she quit? How can anyone be so stupid and never answer a question yet be given the status you americans have given her. I am sure the Bushes hope she gets elected, at least then there might be a conversation who was the dumbest president ever. And by the way when the republicans speak to Canadian health care it showes how sullied they are, there is no such thing as Canadian Health care it is a provincial thing not federal.

  23. Where is her pastor????

There goes Ms. Holy Mary, what happened to all the christian values, I suppose she is planning to bring her pastor along to the alcohol convention. These right-wing hypocrites will do anything for money, it's amazing how they try to hijack Christianity (old testament variant, since they know nothing about the reforms Christ brought in the new testament). American Christians need to wake up and smell the coffee. TEA BAGGERS, you are just being used while the fools behind the curtains make millions of dollars off your anger. As for Sarah Palin (our deputy chief anti-terrorism expert, deputizing cheney), she should be the poster child for education reform, she is a good example of our lack of quality education.........A MORON.

"Governor Palin is a great supporter of America's free enterprise system ........... We're proud and honored to welcome her as a speaker,"

We're proud means, we paid a lot of money to her. I'm sure she knows as much about wine ans spirits as she knows about Russia.

You know we have a saying here, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but please Mrs. Palin, DON'T STAY!!! Leave as soon as possible, we don't need your karma in Vegas, things are slow enough here. I'm sure you and your right wing nuts don't approve of our sinful gambling. Or better yet, why don't you just cancel or be a no show again. Quitting and not showing up seems to be what you do best. Las Vegas hopes you do your best again, please.
