Palin calls book claims 'BS'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2010/images/01/11/art.palin.flag.jpg caption="Palin is refuting a new political book's claims."](CNN) - Sarah Palin is slamming a new book about the 2008 presidential campaign that largely portrays the then-vice presidential candidate as wholly unprepared for the national stage and poorly versed in a range of pressing issues.

"These reporters were not any part of what I was doing there as the VP candidate," Palin said on Fox News Tuesday, her first appearance on the network as a paid contributor. "I don't know who they are. I haven't met these guys."

The book – "Game Change," written by political reporters Mark Halperin and John Heilemann - alleges McCain aides quickly grew troubled with Palin's lack of understanding on key issues, including the job of the Federal Reserve, the difference between North and South Korea, and the purpose of the war in Afghanistan.

"It's a bunch of BS from [McCain campaign manager Steve] Schmidt and those guys," Palin said. "It's pretty made up."

But the former Alaska governor did confirm one of the book's allegations: not knowing exactly who was behind the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and falsely believing former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein played a role.

"I did talk a lot to Steve Schmidt about the history of the war….could there have been any connection to Saddam [Hussein]," she said. "So I admit that I asked questions about it."

Caribou Barbie, cry, cry cry. We know you can't help how stupid you are. My 10 year old grandson knows there is a North and South Korea. I guess all those news papers you read don't tell you those things. You are nobody and will never be anybody. Just a big mouth!

Palin and her admirers celebrate stupidity and ignorance. If we don't start valuing education and intelligence the us is going to be eclipsed by those countries that do like china and other Asian countruea.

For the left wing haters who REALLY want to see what an ignorant woman looks like, go no further than the current democrat senatorial candidate in Massachusetts. To say the Taliban no longer exists in Afghanistan is the most blatantly uninformed and stupid comment I have ever heard. If thats who you want to elect in massachusetts, you certainly do not have the best interests of our nation at heart.

Okay all you hateful liberals. Line up to spew the vile hateful things you can't wait to say. If you are fool enough to believe SP didn't know there was a South & North Korea you only expose your own lack of critical thinking. Lemmings ahead!!

So whom do we believe? Do we believe McCain's campaign manager or a self-absorbed, pathological liar with delusions of grandeur and an IQ of a canned ham? Give me a break. This moron doesn’t have the brain cells required to tie her own shoes, let alone be Vice President. Unfortunately, there are plenty of people out there dumber than her and she plays them like a fiddle.

Good logic, Sara. You didn't meet any of the authors of the book, so their work must be "bs." So, what does that mean about the recent book on John Adams? That author didn't meet Adams personally, so the book must be wrong?

"Better to be quiet and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and prove it." Oh, wait, I didn't meet Mark Twain, so that must not be true.

So glad we went with the smart one!

So they wrote a whole book and her only response is "it's BS"? Fox News is really getting their money's worth from their new pundit if she's going to be offering insight like that.

  15. Larry of DC - give me Sarah - Toss Pelosi

I will take Sarah and her lack of knowledge about all the past Supreme Court cases over a bunch of lying, tax cheating, money mongering Democrats who are driving this country into financial ruin while lining their own pockets.

While Americans continue to lose jobs, lose homes, and lose hope, the Speaker of the House Pelosi flys three 737 military jets on a junket to Copenhagen that costs the taxpayers $5 million. Give me Sarah Palin with all her faults and toss Pelosi into the salt water marshes of San Franciso so she can play with her white mice to which she contributed $30 million in the so called stimulus bill. The only thing stimulated was the pockets of the dems and their backers.

After viewing her on O'Reilly's FudgeFactor last night, I am convinced that what the book says and what Schmidt says about her are true. She could not even read her teleprompter. I have been giving too much credit to her, as she and her followers appear to be in the half of the population that has an IQ below 100.

Says a lot about Mcain for not being knowledgable about his choice for VP. Seems like someone would have asked her about her views on current events there by exposing her ignorance on issues. Makes me wonder about the GOP candidate selection process. Sarah seems to be little more than another pretty face that America quickly saw through.

Considering Mr. Schmidt's account has been echoed by severla other campaign affiliates and her actions since the campaign have been similar, I think the book is probably right. Maybe she could have the McCain campaign team on her Fox News segments.

There was really nothing else she would say. You expect her to say that everything in the book was right and she really is an idiot? I don't like the woman but I know she isn't an idiot. Ignorant is a better word for it.

I don't think we need a book to tell us that Palin was "wholly unprepared for the national stage and poorly versed in a range of pressing issues."

You could see that a mile away.
