Palin calls book claims 'BS'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2010/images/01/11/art.palin.flag.jpg caption="Palin is refuting a new political book's claims."](CNN) - Sarah Palin is slamming a new book about the 2008 presidential campaign that largely portrays the then-vice presidential candidate as wholly unprepared for the national stage and poorly versed in a range of pressing issues.

"These reporters were not any part of what I was doing there as the VP candidate," Palin said on Fox News Tuesday, her first appearance on the network as a paid contributor. "I don't know who they are. I haven't met these guys."

The book – "Game Change," written by political reporters Mark Halperin and John Heilemann - alleges McCain aides quickly grew troubled with Palin's lack of understanding on key issues, including the job of the Federal Reserve, the difference between North and South Korea, and the purpose of the war in Afghanistan.

"It's a bunch of BS from [McCain campaign manager Steve] Schmidt and those guys," Palin said. "It's pretty made up."

But the former Alaska governor did confirm one of the book's allegations: not knowing exactly who was behind the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and falsely believing former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein played a role.

"I did talk a lot to Steve Schmidt about the history of the war….could there have been any connection to Saddam [Hussein]," she said. "So I admit that I asked questions about it."

Feel very sorry for anyone simple enough to think this woman is in any way qualified to be President.

An honest Politician who wants to set the record straight. What a concept! It is no wonder the left thrive to find fault with her to attempt to save their crumbling party. More Americans are no longer interested in Parties and are uniting as Americans for what's good for the country. Palin is such a rare find who teeters on neither party. She is truly a rare find. We need more true patriots like her because Dems and Repubs have burned the people out!

Unfortunately she has become just another publicity seeker wanting her 15 minutes of fame, much like a Paris Hilton. Sarah Palin might have had the platform to do some good but she forgot the golden rule and instead loves herself as herself and is out for what she can get, which includes keeping oneself in the spotlight. Talking heads have nothing good to offer our country, They appeal to only the people who are angry, but don't know what they are angry about, What we need are people who will roll up their shirtsleeves and work on helping the USA, not sit back and tell us what is wrong.

Its nice that Fox News can give her a microphone and a friendly atmosphere so that she can voice her side of the story without having to muss around without any pesky "facts" getting in the way. She and Fox make a lovely couple.

That she was even considered for the position placing her a heart beat from the Presidency remains one of the strangest decisions in American politics.

ok, we get it, she's completely clueless. If anyone hasnt realized this by now, they are living under a rock. Just listening to the VP debate, Biden had to remind her the limited powers of the VP role. She thought as VP, she would work with the senate! Biden taught her on National Television the VP role with the Senate is limited ONLY to break a tie in a vote. She clearly doesnt undertand the separation of powers in our government.

Everybody is lying and Palin is telling the truth. Everybody is out to get Palin because she is so honest, everybody is picking on her. Poor Victim.

Unfortunately for us, Palin is a drag on the GOP. We already voted in one dense GOP President (Bush), the country is not ready for a sequel any time soon.

So now *everyone's* a liar, including McCain's own staff. You're supposed to live your life 'righteously', Sarah, not SELF-righteously.

Another CNN hack moment. SNL and the John Stewaert Show show more balance than the CNN ticker. This has become a Dem party propaganda section.

This should not come as a surprise to anyone. Of course she had very little understanding on foreign or even domestic issues. She was a newly elected governor from a state that fails to make national news, unless that news has to do with Palin. Until she got the nod to be a VP candidate, she would have never had to have opinions or knowledge of those issues. Certainly her schooling had nothing do with foreign affairs – she was a sports reporter. Also, her government experience centered around a town of less than 10,000 and a state with less than 1 million.

I have yet to find evidence that she has taken the steps to learn about key foreign and domestic issues and how she still makes national news is beyond me.

Right, the key points of “Going Rogue” have been shown to be fiction and she couldn’t answer the most basic and simple questions that professional journalists asked, but we’re suppose to take her word. Anyone who believes Sarah is qualified to represent them, at any level, is an uninformed, ignorant idiot and doesn’t deserve the rights and privileges of citizenship.

Uh, Sarah, we all saw that interview with Couric. You thought being able to see Russia from your home meant you knew foreign policy. You couldn't remember any magazines you read, and you had no idea why we were in Afghanistan.

You were the governor of a state that has a smaller population than many cities, and felt that was enough to run the entire country.

You may be able to appeal to your teabagging base, but you won't win many converts.

Why does any intelligent person pay attention to Palin and her "new" found buddies on the Unfair and Right-Wing-Extremist-Unbalanced News Channel? Their values seem to include: arrogance, hypocrisy, and lying.

People don't move to Alaska because they want to "connect with the rest of the country" yet alone the world. More likely the opposite, i.e. they want to get away from the rest of us Americans with our crimes and multi-cultural ways and all. That's why it's ironic when you have someone who talks about their independence and moves to places where they think they should not be under the US governement's jurisdiction and have to pay taxes and all then talk about how they qualified to manage that very same government. But that's conservatives for you. They get to slam society and all it's "liberalism", but then they don't want to live in the cities in the middle of where it all happens-the violent crimes, poverty, population and pollution that the institutions that contribute to their campaigns perpetuate....they don't want to live where the bulk of Americans live.
