Palin calls book claims 'BS'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2010/images/01/11/art.palin.flag.jpg caption="Palin is refuting a new political book's claims."](CNN) - Sarah Palin is slamming a new book about the 2008 presidential campaign that largely portrays the then-vice presidential candidate as wholly unprepared for the national stage and poorly versed in a range of pressing issues.

"These reporters were not any part of what I was doing there as the VP candidate," Palin said on Fox News Tuesday, her first appearance on the network as a paid contributor. "I don't know who they are. I haven't met these guys."

The book – "Game Change," written by political reporters Mark Halperin and John Heilemann - alleges McCain aides quickly grew troubled with Palin's lack of understanding on key issues, including the job of the Federal Reserve, the difference between North and South Korea, and the purpose of the war in Afghanistan.

"It's a bunch of BS from [McCain campaign manager Steve] Schmidt and those guys," Palin said. "It's pretty made up."

But the former Alaska governor did confirm one of the book's allegations: not knowing exactly who was behind the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and falsely believing former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein played a role.

"I did talk a lot to Steve Schmidt about the history of the war….could there have been any connection to Saddam [Hussein]," she said. "So I admit that I asked questions about it."

What part of this is "BS"?

Palin has repeatedly demonstrated that she is not well-versed in national or international affairs, and appears to have little curiosity about them. Everyone knows that, including her.

The scary thing is that the Republican party has become so wedded to polls and wedge issues that it no longer considers merit to be a particularly significant factor in selecting its candidates for public office.

The fact that Palin got as far as she did should be a VERY BIG red Flag to the people of this country. I guess they figured they got away with George Bush, so how bad could Palin be.

Just glad that she is on fox noise – now everyone will know that she is just plan dumb when it come to understanding the world that we live in – I doubt that she would know the truth about anything – she is just pathetic.

Well of course she did. If a book came out exposing me for being a total moron and fraud, I would say it was a lie too, regardless of the truth.

sister palin need to go back to high school and do a course in american and world history. Fox network should be ashamed in putting that woman on tv, all in the name of bashing Mr Obama . Obama is a college grad holding many degrees , what does sister palin have ........ ? obama did more for this country in just under a year that the former president who only went into office to bring the country into an injust war, both he and his not so smart vp who was in hiding for most of his presidency should take a look at what they started.

Selective memory or just plain stupid?
    Quote from the BOOK!
Sarah Palin believed Saddam Hussein to be behind the attacks on 9/11, didn't understand why North and South Korea were separate (the Korean War) and that she could not properly pronounce Joe Biden's name. The book contends that Palin was a mentally unstable person prone to wild mood swings, describing her being hopelessly lost in a "catatonic stupor" at one point during the campaign.

She's just mad because Game Change knocked her book out of first place. The assertions made in the book are very believable. She looks like she doesn't have a clue.

What? Sarah Palin was "poorly versed in a range of pressing issues"? The same person who couldn't name a single newspaper she's ever read? I for one am shocked to hear it.
Also, if something is just "pretty made up" does that mean it isn't entirely made up? Only somewhat made up? Just a little exaggerated? Who needs more evidence that she's a complete idiot?

Palin is so unqualified to run for higher office and will never admit that she is an empty head. She thought Africa was a country. Oh brother! What a disgrace. She is also a liar of the highest order. Her nose grows with each word she utters. Why anyone finds Palin to be qualified for anything other than making up a word salad is beyond me. Maybe she will find Putin flying over Alaska one day . . . .

Earth to Palin. The authors didn't need to be on your campaign. We all know the stuff that came out of your mouth. Your ignorance and arrogance were simply confirmed by your aides who were behind-the-scenes. You're a classic example of the saying, "When you don't like the message, kill the messanger."

Palin and Fox deserve each other. They represent the gutters of America.

As far as Sarah Palin having any impact on the political environment or having any type of relevant input on the Fox network is quite troubling if not ironic. I have been an avid viewer of Fox and CNN for years priding myself in being an informed consumer. Hiowever, Fox's move to add her to the realm of any form of commentary has just lost itself one viewer and I am sure many of my friends as well.

I am sure "Game Change" is more accurate than anyone really wants to know and shows the frightening aspects of the politcal election game when such a bad deciaion was made by McCain to vet Sarah Palin all with the goal to win.
I truly beleive the American people received a first hand look at politics gone wrong in the last election year and the US Congress is in for a big suprise when we vote these self-serving egomanics out during the next election cycle.

who's hiding the body bag count on Obama's war in Afghanistan?.......

This is now Obama's war since he sent 30,000 more troops there and we need to be sure that Obama gets full credit on the daily death count.

As much as Palin would not be a good candidate for President, she is right in saying that these reporters have no idea what happened behind the scenes. These poeple are just trying to make money, and likely will.

oh and I actually feel sorry for McCain . he was given an idiot as a running mate . I dought if the bimbo could even be a pole dancer. not saying that pole dancers are bad . just that you can train a monkey to do tricks . not sure what it would take to train Palin, every time I hear about the debate with Joe Biden and watching Mr BIden smile each time Palin stuck her foot in her mouth He was very polite . he should have called her on every thing she screwed up on . but then it wouldn't have been a debate it would have been a school leason , maybe Dr Jill Biden can recommed a tutor or an institution she can check into LOL πŸ™‚
Palin is a narcissistic pathological liar, limbaugh, cheney x 2 , rove , Beck, newt, and on and on πŸ™‚

Quittin, failin, narcissitic Palin you are still living in denial. We watched you and your hate-filled speeches and pitiful few interviews, and those of us with a brain know how and why you are a celebrity who is not nearly as bright as you think you are. I would say that you appear to just be a lucky person who manipulates people to get what you want. I have not read or heard of anything you have said or done to cause my opinion of you to change or improve. I wish though, if you really feel that you have something to offer ALL the people of this country, that you would take the time to try to improve your thinking and speaking abilities, and stop just seeking attention. Hopefully, our citizens are not as fooled by you, as they appear to be since you came on the scene, and just wouldn't go away. You and your type of hatred are finally where you belong, with the rest of your kind on Fox's 24 hour cycle of lies, hate, and venom. May God help you all.
