Palin calls book claims 'BS'

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2010/images/01/11/art.palin.flag.jpg caption="Palin is refuting a new political book's claims."](CNN) - Sarah Palin is slamming a new book about the 2008 presidential campaign that largely portrays the then-vice presidential candidate as wholly unprepared for the national stage and poorly versed in a range of pressing issues.

"These reporters were not any part of what I was doing there as the VP candidate," Palin said on Fox News Tuesday, her first appearance on the network as a paid contributor. "I don't know who they are. I haven't met these guys."

The book – "Game Change," written by political reporters Mark Halperin and John Heilemann - alleges McCain aides quickly grew troubled with Palin's lack of understanding on key issues, including the job of the Federal Reserve, the difference between North and South Korea, and the purpose of the war in Afghanistan.

"It's a bunch of BS from [McCain campaign manager Steve] Schmidt and those guys," Palin said. "It's pretty made up."

But the former Alaska governor did confirm one of the book's allegations: not knowing exactly who was behind the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and falsely believing former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein played a role.

"I did talk a lot to Steve Schmidt about the history of the war….could there have been any connection to Saddam [Hussein]," she said. "So I admit that I asked questions about it."

I think FOX will hire anyone that can grab a pair of pompoms and root for the Republican party. This woman is an inch away from licking windows! My 7 year old cousin knew Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11!

This wacko has NO CREDIBILITY with the American people! She is a puppet of Rupert Murdoch and the radical right wing. The GOP has ZERO chance of taking back the White House in 2012 with this ignoramus as their nominee. Funny how everyone is telling similar stories about the 2008 campaign...except for Sarah the Quitter. Time for the "straight talker" John McCain to to tell us what really happened. He owes that much to the voters after choosing the most inexperienced, unqualified VP candidate in recent history. Murdoch now has 2 potential Republican presidential candidates on his payroll...Palin and Mike "Willie Horton2" Huckabee. If his money and influence succeeeds, we could see a Palin-Huckabee or Huckabee-Palin ticket in 2012. Then Murdoch and his cohort Roger Ailes can transform the White House press room into just another Fox broadcasting studio!

"And there may have been a few questions about where exactly Russia is and who in the heck Condolezza Rice was." the former VP candidate also admitted.

I have always been of the belief that George Bush was and always will be the worst President in US history. T

However, I am now coming around to the thinking that the republican party may have actually found THE one person in America who could actually be worse then Bush.

This is funny. People report, she refutes, people report more, she refutes more. This goes on and on and all at a time when the vast majority of us know that she is exactly as reported. That is , all of us except for Fox News whose "reporters" are as dim witted as she is.

Dishonest, vindictive, delusional moron, with no sense of personal responsibility. But, I guess conspiracy theorists and creationists need heroes too.

CNN, why do you continue to place stories about this woman in the politics section? Come to think about it, why do you cover stories about her at all? She's a paid shill for a rival news network. However, if you must continue to force feed your readers her her BS, at least put that BS in the entertainment section where it belongs.

Since Palin's not a public servant; i.e., government employee...why don't we focus on how unprepared Obama and his staff of liberal boobs are?
I mean, they're spending our money left and right, endangering our citizens, apologizing to the world, bowing to other country leaders in a show of inferiority....killing businesses, creating a nannystate with overtaxation, and excessive red tape through backroom deals to make the entire country into two classes; rich and poor.....and you "journalists," are reporting on a Palin comment...yet again?

Seems like quite the coincidence that everyone that she worked with on the campaign keeps portraying her as dumb and out of touch with reality

If she didn't know in 2008 and 2009 who actually was behind the NY attacks in 2001; therefore, the contents of the book's claims appear to be right on cue. Again making Palin into a liar. Who in their right mind did not know that Osama Binladen was behind these attacks you would have to live in a hole in the core of the earth not to know this stuff. She is in the dark not aware of what is going on in the rest of the country or the world, she is only knowledgeble on Alaska. Putting her on prime time Fox will only embarrass her even more, she is not at that level.

I believe it. Why would they lie? C'mon Sarah. Let's get real. We know who you are and what you knew from the glimpses we got of you on the campaign trail. You were probably a fine Governor but totally unsuited for VP selection. Not your fault... McCains.

Who ya gonna believe? They're all Republicans so not very credible.

Still, we've seen how it goes when she tries to answer the most basic questions about anything outside of Wasilla. Proud and consistent ignorance...

These reporters talked with Steve Schmidt among others. From what has been seen so far on television, Mr. Schmidt did appear to be one of the McCain intimates stating the lack of knowledge of Palin. That is nothing new and has been highly publicized. It is easy to blame the reporters, as she should be embarrassed about her knowledge. If I were her, I'd admit the mistakes and try to learn the facts for my own political future.

This is a typical response from Palin. Palin is never the problem. Palin never does anything wrong, it sounds like my kids when they were little children. Thanks to John McCain, we may never be free from this totally unqualified person.
