(CNN) - Insurgent Massachussetts Republican Senate candidate Scott Brown told CNN he expects to be installed quickly as Massachusetts' next senator should he win the state's special election Tuesday.
Asked about the state of the race, Brown said he's still campaigning as if he's running "down 30 points."
But sounding confident, the GOP state senator says he's made plans to travel to Washington Friday if he's victorious.
Brown warned any plan to quickly pass health care reform before the results are certified in Massachusetts would send the wrong message to Americans.
He made the remarks as he was greeting voters outside Boston's TD Banknorth Garden before Monday's Boston Bruins game.

You could cool your heals at home or in DC, it doesn't much matter. My guess is that you won't get installed till the health care bill (such as it is) is signed.
Back to the Bush-Cheney years.
I thinks this clown is full of himself. I can't wait until tomorrow around
9: pm for the results to come in then this liar can stop thinking he has won. He is not going to win not in Mass.
Who is Brown to threaten anyone before votes are verified?!?
Is he against Democracy? Or maybe he is just like Bush!
I'm think'en Brown is Red but not like in Red Sox, but more like in Red Coat and communism.
I guess he is in a hurry to start saying NO, and ruin the country.
"Insurgent"? Why is Brown "insurgent"? Isn't that a pretty loaded word to use on him? Maybe if someone opposes the Liberal-Democrat Beltway machine that's what they get labelled. Funny, i'd always thought an insurgent was someone like a Viet-Cong, or Sandanista, or Shining Path Revolutionary bomb-thrower. Or is this another example of trying to sway peoples opinions without actually having the courage to say so.
insurgent Mass Republican senate candidate?
Why not simply call him the white sheet Mass Repubican senate candidate?
Oh wait, that's senator byrd's title
What tha!
Obama and Pelosi will try to sneak it in anyway they can. Let your representatives know: WE DO NOT WANT IT.
His winning will send a wrong message to Americans.
So he thinks he will decide the fate of health care reform for all americans? Arrogant
This is a time in American history where Massachusetts can redefine how "history repeating itself" is a good thing. From the Harbor to the voting booth, "We're proud of you "! Sincerely, The other 49
I believe the people of this country are tired of having this political strangler pushed down their throat. Obama, Harry Reed and the rest of the current politicians are in for a big surprise. I hope the election tomorrow will be a signal that the people are tired of their tactics.
We need new blood representing the people.
GOOD LUCK SCOTT BROWN
Brown is wrong. "Any plan to quickly pass health care reform before the results are certified in Massachusetts" will send the RIGHT message to Americans. (It's amazing how these Republicans claim to speak for Americans when they apparently could care less about Americans.)
You are not going to holdup legislation that the country desperately needs Mr. Brown. Who the hell do you think you are? You have to win first!!!!
Insurgent?!!!!!
Sending the wrong message is better than having you destroy health care.
Even if he wins, he can't be seated if the state hasn't certified the returns. The best he can do is tell people that they will be fired in the next few weeks and look for an apartment.
I posted this is thw wrong story. It belongs here:
Bad news here, in my opinion. "Remember Minnesota" will be the rallying cry when Coakley loses. Especially if it is "too close to call". Expect this to drag out. The Republicans first kicked that can in Minnesota!
Although I am all for Public Option, I agree with Brown. Rushing to pass health care reform to avoid Brown's vote would be wrong.
If Democrats can convince the American people that their reform bill is just and honorable, they will win no matter if Brown or Coakley goes to D.C.
Not so fast all you cons, remember, it was 8 months before Minnesota had two Senators, expect the same delay tactics from the Dems if Brown wins and it is close.
Of course, in this case, cons will state it is due due to creeping "socialism" from all of you who wanted to delay the seating of the Dem Senator in Minnesota.
The Dems will just be using the same play book in MA that the cons used in MN..
Payback can be a b!t@h!
If we are once again swayed by the aggressive and deceptive appeals to our biases, prejudices and self-focused concerns, in the near future we are very likely to be here again, only then the circumstances will be even more dire as the costs of the new self-serving irresponsibility will then be added on top of the current drastic problems. To now repeat our blind acceptance of the deceptive rhetoric offered to rationalize as 'conservative' their bold total concentration on benefiting Special Interests and a select few while giving the majority only apathy, the costs and an abundance of subterfuge can only result in more significant loss for the vast majority. Failing to be objective and responsibly rational in recognizing the control and manipulation executed over their 'puppet' representatives by the influential, powerful and wealthy few is simply to be self-flagellant. Should we allow ourselves to be influenced by their appeals to our self-interests regarding concern over the costs to straighten things out now and support them in further neglecting reform, we will have only ourselves to fault. We need our representatives to be honestly responsible to us and not just loyal to Special Interests and a select few who overtly and covertly strongly support and control them. We really need to be diligent in holding them responsible to do so and stubbornly firm in rejecting them when they seek to do otherwise. Otherwise don't blame them.
CNN's editorial decision to allow Jim Acosta to refer to Scott Brown as an "insurgent" is a deliberate act that demonstrates their lack of objective journalism. No wonder CNN's ratings are dropping in tandem with the decline in the favorability numbers of Obama, Pelosi and Reid.
Go Scott Brown!
NO POLARIZED Congress EVER works. It didn't JUST work for Republicans it didn't work for Dem in 1994 – POLARITY DOESN'T WORK!
And frankly those of us who identify as Republicans and conservatives are COMPLETELY FED UP with being DEMONIZED by MSNBC hacks and the people who parrot them AS IF the entire country is employed like its one big gigantic Union dominated Auto manufacturer with "evil" greedy Republican bosses who love to deny Health Care coverage to the poor poor victims on the assembly line.....
SOME OF US actually own our own businesses out here and DO NOT want MORE FAILED BUREACRACY stuck to us like some kind of incurable STD.
Forget it America – Until SOMEONE can hold our Government accountable for all of our other social FAILURES, stop trying to sell one more!
GO SCOTT BROWN!
Get um Brown, Get um. GO Massachussetts.
I know you wont stand up for any BS. if the Dems try to get in your way we will be there for you, screaming and yelling. The people have awaken.
