DSCC urges dems to define opponents early

[cnn-photo-caption image= http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2010/images/01/26/art.capitolbldg4.gi.jpg caption="The DSCC is urging the party's 2010 candidates to definte their Republican opponents early."](CNN) - In the wake of the surprising Massachusetts special election result last week, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is urging the party's 2010 candidates to define their Republican opponents early.

"Given the pressure Republican candidates feel from the extreme right in their party, there is a critical - yet time-sensitive –opportunity for Democratic candidates," a DSCC memo, obtained by CNN, states. "We have a finite window when Republicans candidates will feel susceptible to the extremists in their party. Given the urgent nature of this dynamic, we suggest an aggressive effort to get your opponents on the record."

Specifically, the DSCC wants Democratic candidates to pin down their likely opponents on several hot-button issues, including:

– Do you believe that Barack Obama is a U.S.citizen?
– Do you think the Tenth Amendment bars Congress from issuing regulations like minimum healthcare coverage standards?
– Do you think programs like Social Security and Medicare represent socialism, and should never have been created in the first place?
– Do you think President Obama is a socialist?
– Do you think America should return to a gold standard?

ah yeah real., how about maybe leaving your questions at home, come up with your own answers to hmmm i don't know, how about ways to fix the united states and leave your lame questions to republicans in the trash can where they belong. Americans don t want your lame ways at trying to defeat republicans. they want answers to how to fix americans. Maybe take less trips to global warming summits which cost american tax payers 1 million dollars, and accomplishes nothing. this is digusting. Less trash from politicans and more answers to fixing america

    here here

The so-called MA Miracle, Mr. Brown ran as liar, stating that he was "an independent" when if fact, the record shows he's a dyed in the wool conservative... ashamed of his record or just hiding his true colors under a barrel until elected?

Candidates should also focus on defining THEMSELVES adequately. I wonder to this day what that lady in MA that lost truly is about. And the guy that won was very good at avoiding being identified as a Republican.

How could any of those questions, other than the first one, define anyone in a bad light. Wingnut is a progressive statist and that's how I would answer that question. Soc Sec and medicare are socialist schemes whether anyone belives it or not. They are what is bankrupting the country, although truth is not PC. The Constitution is subject to interpretation and only progressives believe it can be changed wholesale to fit their desires (see Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson). What would the average Joe care if we go back to the gold standard, would he even understand?

    The republican should ask:

    – do you want the government to control 1/6 of the economy?
    – do you believe in exhorbitant spending when we are almost $13T in debt?
    – do you agree medicare should be cut?
    – do you think the average citizen should be described using a vulgar
    homosexual act?

    This goes both ways.

On Sunday, while attending church our pastor said it was an interesting week because of the the supreme court's decision that allows special interest groups to give all the support and money they want to the candidates of their choice. Church attendees cheered and clapped their hands while he grinned. I have watched the degrading of the president, the ugliness of the hate groups, etc. and wonder where respect and integrity have gone? Everyone has an opinion but no solution. Some politicians are using cruelty, viciousness, malice and evil deeds to gain their goals. Will things ever return to normal?

  10. Randolph Carter, I'm no expert but....

"Is President Obama a "socialist"? Hell yes he is! So is the leadership of the Democratic Party. What's so revelating that a republican agreeing needs to be part of the record? Between the lines I read the democrats are devising more lies and mis-truths about who they really are, and what they plan to do. Sneaky bunch of bas^%$ds! The republicans are doing the same and are no better. It will be interesting to see what tney come up with as their party line mantras. I say vote them all out and let's take our country back."

You are a moron. Obama's a centrist. Why do you think that the far left and real socialists are not happy with him? Point out one, just one, thing that he's done or proposed that actually fits the definition of socialism. Do you believe everything your TV tells you to believe? Americans are idiots. Have a nice day!

These questions are important and necessary to identify those Republicans who spread lies and hate in the minds of the American people in an attempt to turn us against one another. This will help identify the home grown terrorist and hate groups.

I know one of the main priorities of this administration is to create jobs and they are working on it.

But I would like to have any republican respond "intelligently"...to this question.

For eight years they sat by and let bush and company bleed good benefit and good paying jobs overseas and did absolutely nothing to stop or criticize him.

Now in a years time they expect Obama to wave a magic wand and create the 10's of millions of jobs Bush let go overseas. What I would like to know, do they consider this president to be a miracle worker and Bush to be a rag tag cheney puppet. I suppose so.

But then since CNN only posts the outrageous quotes and slurs to the democrats I suppose this wont' be posted for the republicans to explain to me and the rest of the country.

As you ready through these silly, moronic and anti-American comments from the school yard bully wanna-bees you see how really sick these fox followers are. They don't care about reality so honesty and integrity are a joke to them and their idols.
Yes, as loud and as often as it can be said ask them to answer real questions instead of responding to Fox propoganda or Corporate News Network lazy journalism. And ask them if they understand and therefore accept evolution to be the scientifically proven fact that it is. Then maybe they'll crawl back into the swamp they came from.

More dirty politics from the Liberals. No surprise here.... when they are WRONG, they resort to name-calling.

  15. Republicans - Wrong about everything, Wrong for America (and GW Bush was the worst President ever)

All the Dems have to do is expose the Republicans for what they are, a bunch of hypocrites. Take Nassau County on Long Island. They had a Repub county exec and legislature for over 20 years. The legislature didn't raise taxes for ten years, although expenses increased every year. Nassau went bankrupt. Now, after 8 years of Dem rule, during which there were no such problems, the Repubs have taken over again. So what were their 2 first moves. A tax break of over $30 million with no subsequent decrease in spending, leaving a hole in the budget. And a pay increase of 37% to 47% to themselves. Fiscally responsible my butt.
